I hope Sonic Frontiers gets high scores, because after 10+ years of stupid boost games, spin-off games, and games that were mainly made for nostalgia, it’s finally time fans got a game that has them do what Sonic does in his free time, exploring at fast speeds. Granted, Sonic Generations, Sonic Mania, and Sonic Origins are all good games, but I’d like there to be a Modern 2D Sonic game that takes advantage of Sonic’s new move set without relying heavily on the old fans’ nostalgia. Heck, it’d be cool if they somehow managed to make the Metroidvania genre work for Sonic.
I am really looking forward to playing this game! I think it will get an 8 or 9 at most

This game has crossed the line Matt. First lost world, then forces and now this. It's official. I AM LEAVING THE SONIC FRANCHISE! And sega? You suck.
I know I've said this a million times but since Segas track record has continued in to sonic origines as predicted Its clear that Sonic frontiers will be the same its going to fail its goint to repeat ever failure since 06 lets face it the Sonic games are dead and frontiers is the final nail in the coffine I still have the "I told you so" and mocking laughter ready for when my prediction comes true and Sonic frontiers fails like ever other sonic game had done before.
I can't predict critick or review scores but I can say its gona be bad very bad.

Sadly after the origins release, I have lost all hope for frontiers. If they can’t even release the old games in a polished state, frontiers has no chance
I'll tell you this is true simply because Sonic Unleashed was a great game, even it is today, by today's standards. It was unreasonably destroyed by the critics, and it was the last high-budget Sonic game we could see. Imagine, if Unleashed had been well received, maybe today all of the main Sonic games would have that level of budget, identity, and level design, though we'd never know if that would have been the case.
Well if sonic origins is “bad” than maybe frontiers will be good?
Oh dear, I hope it won’t have as many bugs and flaws like colors ultimate and origins. If it doesn’t break the game then that would be fine.
I just realized that Sonic has never had a game with a score of like 95 or 97 or something, like what Mario gets on a daily basis. CD(iOS) was close with a 93, Mania Plus has a 91 and finally, SA2 and All Stars Racing Transformed have an 89. Let’s hope Frontiers can be a 9/10 game, and critics will finally stop with that hate boner they have for Modern Sonic
Regardless of what the review scores may say and what the community may think as long as I overall enjoy the game as a whole it’ll still be good in my opinion maybe not perfect but still an enjoyable experience which is all I really want out of my sonic games

To me the Open Zone looks like nothing more than a big Hub-World and to travel to the cyberspaces, which we already know some are reused stages. I think if people expect huge open zone with variety of areas they are in for a disappointment.
What they should do is, for the love of god, just make a good game. Not great, not amazing, just good, a solid 7/10 that the new fans from the movie can enjoy, that will sell well and even provide a framework for future Sonics. Stop fucking things up Sonic Team
The review scores will be very low. There is no way in this stupid world that the critics will give this game a good score. SEGA has lost their minds and there's no way this game will succeed.
And of course: I am still surprised that people are exited for this stupid project! I predict that not even the fans would like this! This game will be a massive disappointment and will be bad!
I don't want good Sonic game. I want outstanding Sonic game, or awesome or just great. Amazing is to much to ask :E
Whether Sonic fans like the game or not solely depends on Sega and if they actually release a finished game. And then beyond that, a good game. A good game is worthless if there is no quality control. Sonic adventure 1 and 2 get a pass from me because they were the first games in the modern era of the franchise, but many of the later games have no excuse. I can count all the good sonic games after SA2 on one hand, which isn’t good. And the people at fault are those at Sega who decided to release unfinished games. I definitely don’t blame the developers. But I already have low hopes for Frontiers after hearing about crunches. They should stop trying to crunch and give the game the time it needs to be finished. Releasing an unfinished game just so it can be patched later is a horrible practice and has made an already existent problem within Sega even worse.

Me: Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations, Sonic Mania. Need I go on?
And anyone who says "But Sonic was never good, though" is objectively wrong.
It's better to be cautiously optimistic than cautiously pessimistic.
I think Sega are relying on professional review scores a bit too much, these days they seem to be out of touch with the average person just look at the difference between critic and audience scores on sites like Metacritic or Rotten Tomatoes. One reason for this is why detractors (like myself) call the more official sites and reviewers the "access media" their careers depend on access to these big producers to access info before the rest of us so they can't be too harsh, or they might lose that access and that causes people like me to trust them less.
