I’d like to say Mario canonically(by my understanding) is literally a plumber who got pulled into plumbing(a warp pipe) and found the mushroom kingdom. Look up the Mario bros cartoon intro and that scene is my head canon.

Still not that happy about Chris being Mario, but I don't think he's going to kill the movie. I'm honestly waiting to see Seth Rogen's DK. That's going to be hilarious.

One thing I noticed, is that when the Koopa Troopa got hit with the massive snowball, the other Koopa with the eye patch actually lifted it up and looked over at him!

The idea of a Mario movie in the past 29 years is mythical (We don't talk about 1993 and before).
The cast of this movie is legendary.
The models are beautiful.
The animations are amazing.

Jack's version of Bowser sounds exactly like the voice I always gave him as a kid, so that's instant bonus points for me!
If this does well, we might finally get a Kid Icarus film, or even F-Zero!
Mario did a great job voice acting Chris Pratt.

I'm pretty sure this movie is going to be Mario and Luigi's origin stories, hence why Mario doesn't recognize the mushroom kingdom and why he's rocking his slight Brooklyn-Italian accent
You can tell everyone involved is truly invested in the franchise, it’s so awesome to see people who genuinely love mario and get to work on this. Also toad is precious protect him at all costs.
This looks really charming. Jack Black actually really sounds great as Bowser!
Also, yes, if this movie does well (which it probably will), I would love for them to try other Nintendo movies. I know Pokémon has had its fair share, but I would love a Kirby movie. I would love a full-length movie based on Kirby Right Back At Ya complete with Foghorn Leghorn Dedede, Escargoon, the Cappies and the rest of the characters!
