Despite horses being one of the most efficient ways to travel across Hyrule in Breath of the Wild, there are a TON of hidden details …

(Quick correction at 8:30 – I meant to write 2/5/3, not 2/5/4. Sorry for the inconvenience!!)
Is this a joke ( like seriously im asking )
I named my royal white stallion Zelda so every time it every time I whistle it says Zelda cannot hear you
you can also feed them carrots
I just use Epona
As hard as it is to get the Knights Horse Armor it should give the Horse extra strength while it's wearing it. Like how the Ancient armor gives the Horse 2 extra spurs. My controller is a bit out of whack, and that game is hard for me. I can barely drop a pin on a shrine accurately.
By the time I got the Big Horse to the stable he was almost completely bonded. Same with Zelda's horse. The tameness is another matter.
I've got a few gentle horses, including my first "starter" horse Arrowroot, but my first wild horse is Brego, a brown horse with a gold mane and blue eyes. I caught him just north of Kakariko.
He's a flyer with 4 speed and 3 stamina… only 1 strength though, which is a pity. I definitely want to keep him alive.
Still, he served me well so far. He helped me take down those Hinoxes for the "Three Giant Brothers" shrine quest!
I accidentally tamed a horse with one L press
When I press "a" I press L immediately after to tamed it
I kill horses for fun sometimes
I'm assuming speed is the same between gentle and wild?
And what about Epona? Little girl has 4-star hp and is a gentle lady
Then how many pushes do you need for lord of the mountain
3:50, do you know if the stats are still different between gentle and wild per star in totk
Why does nobody explain how to run as fast as possible on your horse?! Am I supposed to press sprint every time a spur recharges, or let all spurs recharge (at a faster rate) before pressing sprint again?
For anyone wondering about how he had Epona, Epona is an Amiibo exclusive horse and she's only available via two Amiibo across BOTW and TOTK if you're playing BOTW first before TOTK she's available immediately after The Great Plateau and she's a really good horse to have because she has the same Strength and Speed stats as some of the horses on Upland Lindor in BOTW however her mane, tail, bridle, and saddle can't be changed
I want to drop a bit of tip: if you run out of stamina just drink/eat Energizing/Enduring food to get more stamina for your favourite horsey
In conclusion? What is this, 7th grade English class? All the same, thanks for the information.
I am playing BOTW for the first time completely blind, and I found the big horse on my own, only finding the quest and NPCs that refer to him after 😅, I was very happy when I tamed it, it made my day.
Can't wait to learn about the Pull stat and any updated horse spawn locations in TotK!
Great video! Can't wait to see if Tears of the Kingdom has the same mechanics
The main difference between gentle and wild is the a wild horse will throw you off its back and gentle will not.
Until yesterday I couldn't catch a horse no matter how many times I tried.
Then yesterday I was able to catch 2.
Then today I caught 4 more. That's when I learned of the five horse limit for the stable.
Does the royal horse always have the same stats?
My white horse was so weak 😭
Then there are players like me that only catches the ones I think are the prettiest.
you did.. ALOT of research for this… is it not available on wiki or somthn?
Are the spawn spots the same in TotK?
How do you know if your horse is hurt?

(Your horse now has diabetes)
I only found a good horse after beating all divine beasts and nearly all shrines
The horse stats are a bit off, if you want a 5 star speed horse this says its the group 4 one with 4 stamina but in the game there isn't a 4 star stamina one in that group, atleast not the one near the rito, the 5 star speed horse is actually 2/5/3 not 2/5/4
Will you be doing a vid like this for totk? I'm specifically looking for group 4 locations. Thanks!
