Back in the olden days of video gaming (and by that, we mean the 80s and 90s), trailers weren’t really all that big of a deal.

i didn't get to See Cyberpunks 2077 Cinematic Trailer, so Jackies Death hit me a little harder and Unexpected
Back in the early 90s there was a PC game called Stonekeep. It had a trailer/intro which totally blew my mind. Nowadays it would probably look like crap but back then it was something totally new. The game itself wasn't considered great even back in its day, but I actually played it to the end.
Right now I'm hyped about the Pokemon Scarlet/Violet trailer. It creates the impression that the game is going to combine the best parts of Pokemon Legends Arceus and mainline Pokemon games, and if that's the case, it should be great. There's one guy in Youtube who seems to have gone through the trailer frame-by-frame and has already published half a dozen 20 minute videos about what the game could be like. He's probably not the only one. We Pokemon fans take our Pokemon seriously.
That first GTA 3 TV trailer was the one that hooked me. Vice City was the superior trailer, however..
God of War Ascension live action reveal trailer gives me goose bumps every time I watch it.
Surprised you didn't list any World of Warcraft trailers. Whether you're a fan of WoW or not, there's no denying Blizzard know how to make a trailer. Burning Crusade or Lich King deserve a place on this list.
So many epic TRAILERS!!! 🤓🤓🤓🤓👍👍👍
The E3 2015 trailer for Phantom Pain was also really good, with it's use of New Order's Elegia.
Saints Row: The Third is missing… just saying
The Arkham Knight trailer was great, but the Arkham Origins TV spot was even better
Dead Island and the first Gears of War come to mind
Battlefield 1 trailer, with the backing track of seven nation army could easily be on this list
I think this list is focused too much on ciematic impression. I would replace some with Motorstorm or Kilzone trailer.
Ff7remake will always be a disappointment to me. I dont support square anymore
Anything that’s the ‘oh, one more thing’ on a Nintendo direct always makes me smile
The Street Fighter X Tekken Jin trailer got me pretty hyped back in the day
Can we get a top 10 most hype-inducing trailers? I nominate Smash Ultimate "Everyone is here" trailer.
Geralt's line "Evil is evil: lesser, greater, middling… makes no difference" is so epic and I loved that they put that in the show (despite it having no real correlation to the games storywise). It really sums up Geralt's moral compass quite well.
Kind of surprised that the Gears of War Mad World trailer didn’t make the list
Like spike everyone!
Bioshock!?
Overwatch 🥺😰
Great video Ashton I really enjoy your content. Let's all vote for more Ashton content!!
The Dragon Age Origins "Sacred Ashes" trailer is worth a watch
the recent space marine 2 trailer. One of the best of all time, so fucking badass
Mirrors Edge Trailer and demo is still so good
That Dead Island trailer is one of the best
My favorite so far is the Endwalker trailer for FFXIV. The song Footfalls has been stuck in my head ever since, it's a hell of a tune, especially if you're already familiar with the main themes for the previous expansions.
Skyrim's trailer is also something that has stuck out in my memory as well.
FF7 remake was a dream come true, but what about the original FF7 tv spot? It literally sold itself as an epic movie, only on PlayStation. As 11 year old me watched that it blew my little mind and I didn’t even know what the f**k a RPG was!
I'm not ashamed to admit that I literally cried at the Dead Island trailer. even just watching the entry on this list got me tearing up all over again. ended up not playing the game but I won't be forgetting that trailer any time soon.
Guys which Emulator are you using to play old games? Can you send me the names play I'm willing to pay for the information.. inbox me please 🙏🏼 Thank you
Cyberpunk trailers were so cool…too bad THAT game didn't came out…
Botw trailer still give me chills to this day but it’s the other one not the one triple jump is talking about on this list
