How much time should active training take per session?
How long do you recommend using the line?
Thank you so much for these lessons. Waiting on my first pup, can i use the bench for her to sleep in? My living room is upstairs and my bedroom is downstairs so i think a portable bench would be best for us. So she will have the same place up and down. Please let me know!
I'll use this technique on my Pitt she is supper active. I thought she was the worst puppy ever. Thanks a lot
I have tried using a house line with a 11 week old Border Collie. The issue I’m having is that all they do is chew on it.
I always call this puppy line at home our umbilical cord. In German it's a little shorter though. 😊
I've been doing this from my second puppy onwards. Then I had a couple of small children and had to figure out how to supervise kids and puppy to keep all of them safe.
Is this safe for toy breed dogs? I’m concerned about my 3 lb toy poodles neck
Great video, but should a puppy be put in a crate with a collar on??? Isn't this dangerous?
I pick up my puppy next week. I’m terrified. I need to get a long line. I have no idea what to do. Aaaccckkk
Really helpful.
Good educational videos! I will be getting a Bichon puppy soon
im worried my puppy is not busy enough.. he is so chill.
its also amazing how little information is needed for the puppy to judge a situation. I feel like the excited voice of the trainer as he spoke to the camera made him more excited
I have a 4 month Aussie. She has chewed thru 5 of the house lines. She is so full of energy, I just can't keep up with her lol
Regarding the treats, the pup is being fed three times a day, always looking for more to eat. How many treats are okay, how much is too much. Do you have any guidelines based on weight?
Excellent presentation, Best of Show, and I've watched a handful this past week.
when they came out of their crate.. i stop the video there… your dogs they are obliged in a cage? always do to yourself the same that u do to your dog .. do you like to sleep in a cage? if you do so ok do the same to your dog
Bringing home a new puppy in 2 weeks…how do I use a house line with 4 cats in the house? The poor pup is going to be terrorized! (Seriously looking for advice-loved house lead for my last pup when I had no cats, so now what?!)
Maybe I missed it – how long should the house line be?
so many great videos on this channel. but this is the wow for me here. thank you Steve just needed everything right here
love the vid
I'm trying to address jumping and nipping with my mini Dachsund. For safety reasons ( back and neck issuses) can I use a harness in place of the collar?
My puppy of almost 3 months gets depressed when I put him the house line? Anyone that could tell what could be happening?
My puppy is chewing on the line
I have a 8 wk American Spaniel. Ruffles & RUFFLES HAS MICHAEL JACKSON & JORDAN ENERGY. Doing the tips…🥵 have human babies are easier…. He's learning
I’m so frustrated right now with my 16 week old Rocco. The biting, the jumping and the barking is stressing out the whole house
How do I get my puppy used to a collar, she absolutely hates it and goes manic and is unable to settle with it on. Would a harness may be more comfortable for her as she is quite small
I have 10 week old Aussie that is that high energy we call him psycho dog – that house line has made all the difference – he has learned sit & down and easily learned no jumping and biting because we have so much more control. I have been able lead him quickly outside when he needs to go. He is already going to the door. Thank you so much for this video. Life is so much calmer and less chaotic. It is also easy to back up and have him come to me when he is on a line all time.
Have to dislike videos like this because while they talk about using a house lease they never give you tips on what to do when the dog does nothing but destroy the lease. I've watched a bunch of your videos now that brag about the inside lease & not one tells you how to stop your dog from destroying it. I've gone through 3 leases in a month this method doesn't work with terriers.
Don't cut a perfectly good leash, Just tape it shut !!! Save your money !!!!
I have a new puppy that is 3 months old. She is bitiing and I have been asking questions about during trainning do you use a coller or a harns?
Great segment! I'm dealing with a 10 week old Springer Spanial mix. I was getting SO frustrated during our playtime, that I would simply lure him back to his corral and leave the room! Nothing learned from that! This gives me a lot of encouragement!
My dog chewed and ate the leash
I also have a cat that sees the line as a toy
I need some videos that show help with training toy breeds. I have a 4 month old Yorkie and I’m finding that a lot of these videos don’t work as easily with such small puppies….
