He is gorgeous! I lost my two Malamutes within the last year, one to old age and the other one to cancer, and I wish I could find a breeder here in South Africa as the only other alternative will be a VERY expensive overseas puppy shopping trip.

Don't know what it is with huskys and dogs like this, but they all have the temperament of toddlers. It's ridiculous, I'll never own a husky, Alaskan malamute, Akita or any small dog. Especially poodles.

Malamute should not have long hair. When I looked for a malamute for my family, I made sure neither of the parents had a long hair gene. Long hair on a malamute is a nightmare to have. At least in Europe long haired cannot even win any dog shows, because it is considered a fault for Malamute. There is no waterproof coating underneath. They get wet very easily and require constant brushing. Not suitable for a snowy or rainy weather.

Why is the animal named Neko a dog?
Perhaps the owner could try muzzle training with the dog. Then, get their own muzzle so that when they go to the groomer (or vet) they don’t have to wear one that isn’t theirs. I have started this with my dog and it makes a big difference in the dog’s level of comfort.

I think that dog has probably gotten hurt before from another groomer perhaps and is reacting based on history. He was scared to get hurt in some way maybe they trimmed his nails too short or cut him by mistake in the past.
