The best no bs trainer out there !!
What is the minimum age for this sort of training?
Will it work on japanese bread
Can you do this indoors?
Thank you for this video I have always had boxers and found them to be easy to train. But my latest one i got as a puppy during Covid lock down and so he hasn't been all that well socialized. Anyway he is an odd dog in my experience, about 90lbs and very strong. And smart but anxious. I have used the stop and u turn method because that's how I was trained (lol) as a kid to walk the dog. My dogs all had choker collars. They are not always easy to find now depending on where you shop. So he's had a flat collar. YESTERDAY I bout a choker collar and walked him yesterday and today and it was pretty pleasant. And NOW I saw your video and realized to keep going in this direction and add some treats. I remember learning to hold leash in right hand and the middle leash in left while dog walking on the left. Is there a best position to keep dog on without him crossing back and forth?
What do you do if your dog doesn’t give af. My crazy ass dog paws and death rolls his leash even with a prong collar.
String cheese is the only treat my picky husky shepherd mix will eat in the outdoors or while excited! Very cost effective
Working with 2 German shepherd and lab mixs girl and boy the boy listen the girl giving me a hard time
Which prong collar size would be best for a 5 month old GSD?
I have a lovely golden pup who was not paying that much attention on walks. Changed just a few bits, making sure she follows and looks, some U turns (even gentle ones) and a pop here and there and behold, best walks ever and no reactivity when we meet other dogs.
Finally, the prong collar and uturn really worked within 10 min. Did not have to pop hard either. Your method was the only method that worked. Thank you soooo much. A few treats too. Not too many.
I’m gonna try this with my 11 month old gsp. He is absolutely AWFUL on a leash right now and I just can’t make him pay attention long enough to correct it.
Nothing has worked!! Prong does not work. My dog doesn’t give a rat’s butt about pain or anything. My neck, shoulders, arms, hands have been yanked to hell and back. 50 pound Aussie.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Love your Videos! Shorts! Etc! Great content especially since I was a vet tech for over 20yrs. Worked with trainers as well. By far you are the best! And I love the way you tell it like it is!
Hi!
Is it really not possible to do this with a harness?
I really don’t want to get a collar for my short nosed dog since she gets winded easily, but she pulls like crazy. 😅
Can you explain the double hook method please. I look through a ton of messages and haven't found it yet.
Is the prong collar a permanent thing for the dog to use?
Corrections should never be hard enough that it brings the dogs feet off the ground
Hey man I’m trying to purchase a collar for my cane corso he’s about 150 lbs. I looked on your Amazon store. Which one do I purchase from there you have a few to select from?
I will have to try this. My dog is a mix dog, a mix between a german Shepard and a European Mountain dog, he is 7 months old and he started pulling on the leash, so I will have to try this method to calm him down.
Can this kind of training be used with a regular choker collar as well?
❤
I got a doberman in the streets
What is that clicker you are using?
This is amazing!
I have two 10 month old, highly energetic Husky puppies.
We’re going to try this out soon, I’ll return with feedback.
Thank you so much!
Really great video – We just adopted a rescue (50% cane corso, 20% neo mastiff , 10 % pressa canario, etc) Need all the help we can to get him on the right track right away!
Does this apply to puppy training? Dog is 15 weeks. I'm using a slip and he pulls so hard that he almost passes out. Its a bit mad. Think if I used a prong he'd do himself an injury
My dog pulls hard like this with squirrels and I cannot get him to stop or look up or turn around with any food once they are out
