2:16 video actually starts
Cover your tattoos.
I have a problem with this video (and others like it). I have no doubt that much of the advice Will offers is great and many commenters here testify to that. But there are also many for whom it doesn't work at all and are at their wits end.
The issue I have is this … Will makes it look easy (perhaps careful choice of responsive pups?!) and the title of the video is suggesting that the technique will work "instantly" – optimistic I think. So when a distraught puppy owner tries the technique and it doesn't work straight away (or even after a few days of trying), the owner now feels a) that they are somehow a bad owner who is incapable of training their beautiful puppy and not worthy of owning such a pet and/or b) they have a problem dog who is unreceptive to training. Both of which leave the owner feeling extremely unhappy about dog ownership.
So while Will's advice and other trainers like him (Ceaser Milan etc.) seems to have positive results if you believe all the comments, it will also be having a massive negative impact on the owners for whom the advice isn't working. I place myself among them.
For context, I have a 3 month old male Labrador puppy who can become very bitey when he has his crazy moments. Will's technique has absolutely not worked as the pup just sees it as encouragement to play and bite more. We are trying different techniques, so still a work in progress but we will personally visit a local trainer if the biting persists or gets worse.
This isn't working with my malinois. Hes nearly 10 weeks old, had him 3 weeks, and when i do all this… he just bites more. Infact he can get quite aggressive with it.
Excellent, it’s working immediately! Thanks a bunch

Literally just scared him one time and he is bot bitting me for now
I am getting getting a puppy German shepherd
This did not work whatsoever for my 11week old cavapoo. It just got him more worked up. He thinks it's a game.
Tray to play with the doggy hide som e dog candys in side the house ex in the rooms may be the doggy has to much ennergis
Tried this with our pug. Worked well when she wasn't in hyper mode. But when she is in that mode she just bites more.
I have a 7 month old Husky mix do you think this is something that will work well?
Put your finger in your cornhole and see if the dog wanna keep biting. PS YOU GOTTA EAT TACO BELL FIRST OTHERWISE IT AIN'T GONNA WORK
all i got was a cat addition
, not helpful.
I was horrified when I saw the hammer come out, until I realised it was for play, not for correction 😂
Great advice – trying this immediately!
My puppy is a jack russell… if I do that "tshhh" with a gentle push, he will bite me more because he'll think i'm fragile.
I have to exagerate a lot more hahahahaha
That probably works, but when puppies get bitey they just want to play. I've had 100% success with making a noise, turning around, and refusing to acknowledge the puppy for about ten seconds. When biting happens then play time stops.
He’s training thor
This didn’t worked at all with my puppy chihuahua. She started biting even harder when i did the “tssss” thing…
I have a Yorkshire terrier and currently he is chewing on my locs
I adopted a 5 month old lab puppy the day before yesterday. Shes a potential service dog candidate, but she bites every part of my body she can reach including my skull and hair. Last night, I was bit to the point of tears. She must think im a litter mate because she doesnt do this with any other human, just me. I will try this method and edit this comment with how it went
Edit: OH MY GOD this works wonders!! It took a bit of time but she connected the dots and is biting me less and less! Thank you so much!
My puppy is growling whenever I try to carry it, it growls and bites hard (it’s 2 months approximately) I’ve never had this issue with my other puppies, I don’t know what to do.
You’re the best mate ever, definitely trying this soon as I get home. Thanks friend
Need a video with an older more aggressive puppy.. Bully breed or something
My little devil bites harder when i scold him, he thinks it's play time. I swear he's the reincarnation of my late dog who died lately, he's also like my puppy rn biting all things he sees but as he grows he stops biting and became more chill.
works with my pup tried first time and now he knows i don’t know how he picked up so quick but he did
Thank you so much 🐾
My 8 week heeler has been nipping like crazy… this technique worked for her!!!! ❤🎉
When a puppy does it. it's not trying to hurt you. it's doing it in a playful way.
Thank you for this 😭I just got my first ever puppy and that's smth I've been struggling w, I really hope this works lol!
The only thing that worked for me was every tine she bit me I would press my finger on her tongue and hold on the chin for a few seconds until she felt uncomfortable I only had to do this few times and she stopped biting
Whaat puppies are those??
I'm reading a puppy training book atm that says you should simply say "too bad" and leave the room for a few minutes. Which is the best method? The book is by a guy called Steve Mann and he's supposed to know his stuff…
My puppy is way hyper than the dogs shown in this video
Thank you for your information ❤
Fantastic! I was honestly moved by this. You love your dogs with grace and truth, and it reminded me of Jesus' love. I always really apreciate seeing your heart for what you do.
We just brought home to Cavalier Spaniel puppies. They are two weeks apart in age. The younger one is showing signs of very aggressive behavior. She growls snaps and bites anytime I try to have her do something she does not want to do I am at a loss.
I can't wait to try this today 😂 I'm tired of being a chew toy
My dog is 6 months old half husky half pit bull and he just won’t stop biting each time I correct him he proceeds to bite harder and get much more aggressive I don’t know what to do
i love how you make it simple and quick i love this RECOMEND!
I sware I heard Lead Applebee's 😂 at 4:40
Also recognizing that they are teething and need to chew. Additionally they communicate with their teeth so being patient and compassionate is key. Thanks for sharing a Loving video and encouraging play.❤
We have two Brittany puppies (4 months old). We have tried the correction method in the video and they are taking it as I am playing with them. Maybe I’m doing something wrong (not pushing hard enough), but any advice is appreciated.
I need this video to help me… my puppy is biting everytime, I try everything but nothing work. I have other dog she's old and he bite her too.
So I will take advice and try to my puppy.
Iv recently got a shepsky and iv tried this but it doesn't seem to work at all 😐🙁 if I try to correct the behaviour she just snaps more and gets excited. How do I correct this ?
Thank you
We just got our puppy before yesterday and when he is excited and energetic he starts biting and scratching .he is four months old
