Anybody seen the "no-no cat?" just search for him on YT. He is amazing! He died a while ago. He was in Novo-Sibirsk Russia. At some point one can hear his owner ask him, "are you an English kitty?" Though you have to understand Russian for that. But he is well worth a listen!
Piseag……….phiss..ack in Scot’s Gaelic
Sorry, but I don't buy, 'they make sounds but don't know what they're saying'. My cats make different sounds for different things. OK, it generally boils down to ' Stupid human, attend to my needs IMMEDIATELY! 'but they do communicate purposefully.
Our cats never cry until daylight. Why? I feed their supper around 10:00 pm.
I talk to my babys cats.
When my cat is in heat, you can hear her 2 houses away
My youngest cat was trying to tell me something and as I did not answer properly, she told me "mee… Yaa… woo" very distinctly. I guessed she was annoyed that I did not understand cat language.
I had the honour of interacting with a tiger, he purred 🥰
4:29 actually I think you are wrong when you say that we can't actually communicate with cats through the sounds we make. Me and old my cat had many different sounds and ways to communicate. Some sounds certainly meant something to him, like he connected some sounds/words to food. Other sounds it learned to mimick from me; one example was when in my attempt to try to sound like a purring cat I managed to make a weird rrrrrr sound, it didn't really sound like purring, but one day he came to me, without me having said the sound, and he looked at me and then did that exact same rrrrr sound that I had been making to him! So I did back to him and then he did it back to me again, that was just quite funny. What did we really communicate there? Nothing concrete, it was just a sound we now both used, that both of us had associated with one another; that alone felt good and wonderful. Im sure it made him feel good too, it doesn't necessarily have to mean anything concrete to be communication, the recognition and the mirrored feedback alone has an instant value, probably something related to feeling secure, safe. family, friend, home. As a contrast to unknown, unsafe, insecure surroundings.
When I go to bed, I can call Catface by his name and he might hop onto the bed and snuggle up.
If I start meowing, he's all but guaranteed to.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Love the bideo
My cat have meow for attention. It means come to me (and maybe help me, maybe open a door). I successfully mimic the meow and my cat comes half of the time. That is the medium or long meow depending on how badly the cat wants attention. There is also the fraction of a second meow that just means hello rather than come to me. After this hello the cat usually jumps at my knees if I am sitting down.
Cats are are truly amazing!
Mine talks eons with me. It's so sweet. ❤
I like the "trilling" sounds that cats make, especially when they're happy or excited or curious about something! So cute!
Another choice is to name you cat with a name that starts with "P". They seem to hear and respond to that.
OK so the little perishes can understand and some talk, if they also achive an opposing thumb we are going to be in serious trouble!!
Check out JUSTIN the Ginger cat, he can uses 20+ word buttons to clearly communicate with his owners.
I have a cat that announces himself whenever he wants attention. So I meow back as well as I can mimmic his voice. Works great
Cool!
My cat wakes me for food, not by meowing but by tapping me with his paw.
Interesting, my cats were found blind and alone, no mom, no mom socialization, and with kennel cough, they were separated from other cats at the ASPCA as sisters with this infection. I walked into the store for parking meter change, & since most folks don’t pick black cats, they had them there for increased exposure. they were exactly what I was hoping for, 2 black females. I’m pretty sure the only meow they ever heard was me imitating a cat, as a result they don’t do loud, just soft like a kitten. No yowling, boy do I feel lucky! One is clearly part Burmese, and she is the quieter one.😊
There is a sound cats make – that I can immitate – it starts with a fast flutter of the tounge and then evolves into a meow that starts at a high pitch and then goes higher – and kind of sounds like asking a question. I'm not sure but I think it means – hi, friend- what's up?
p and s ? What about here kitty-kitty-kitty-kitty – that is the most common call I know
Liked and subbed. This is AMAZING. Thank you so much! 💜
You are all idiots.
