It’s been a long time since we’ve heard any talk about the OnePlus flip folding phone, but Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has shared a likely launch timeframe for the brand’s first clamshell foldable. The OnePlus V Flip (placeholder name) is now expected to launch in Q2 2025 (April-June), which would make it the second foldable in the brand’s portfolio after the OnePlus Open.
Previous rumors suggested the OnePlus V Flip would be a rebranded Oppo Find N5 Flip, but the latter was reportedly canceled according to a report from earlier this year. This makes the OnePlus flip foldable’s debut even more puzzling but we should likely take all of this info with a healthy dose of skepticism.
There was a recent report that Oppo was one of several Chinese companies rumored to pull out of the foldable market. As with all rumors, we’ll just have to wait and see how things play out.
