Well you right it could be really possible because in fact if he was Cryo sovereign he would just destroy Mavuika
BUT THE TSARISTA EXIST so she probably have the cryo autority (a part of it, the other is in the gnosis) so it can explain why the cryo sovereign would « just » be equal to an archon, bc he don’t own his autority and that’s very smart bc you can’t say he is weak, he is litteraly the first Fatui (well i doubt about him being stronger than Pierro but he is not a harbringer so..) It’s really possible but the problem is if it’s true then we will have to wait until the next region for him being playable, if he is bc he can also die before.. i hope he will not ! Also it’s perfect bc the pyro sovereign is death, we will have one in the next region if your theory is right i really hope it’s true bc they are my favorite character and i’m really disappointed that they make the pyro one die, also Apep is not playable that’s sad he is my favorite character of Sumeru with the Molrani Rhukadevatta 🤡 Why i like character that is everytime not playable

Update after finishing the Archon Quest 5.0:
Capitano lost against Mavuika / Murata due to overestimation of his own abilities. He is based on Il Capitano Commedia dell'arte (like every member of Fatui).
If you take a look on article about Il Capitano in Commedia dell'arte, you will find this: " 'The Captain' is one of the four stock characters of commedia dell'arte.[1] He most likely was never a "Captain", but rather appropriated the name for himself. " The Captain uses bravado and excessive shows of manliness to hide his true cowardly nature.

Okay okay hear me out. Capitano as the cryo dragon would make sense, the all black scales on his outfits, the claw like gloves, his weapon that seems formed off pure elemental power slightly mixed with the abyss maybe as it has a hint of a blackish glow? His long black hair that reminds me a lot of neuvillete, the way Neuvi both say that there is still other sovereigns out there but they don’t know if they are dead or not. Of course our theory about the sovereigns was mainly confirmed with apep that they are still in fact out there. But the thing is, why would capitano if he’s the sovereign of cryo want the pyro gnosis? Here’s my theory, the tsarita gave her gnosis powers already up to capitano. It’s why the tsaritsa never actually fights and has the fatui because while she still has power the power went back to capitano as he’s the rightful owner and the tsaritsa as stated wants to fight the heavenly principles. What better way to show you want war then giving power back to the sovereigns the principles hate so much. And I bet during his fight with mauvika we will see his mask break and reveal his eyes. The eyes of a true dragon. What he wants with the pyro gnosis I still have no idea. But that’s my theory so far.

I think the "What use has the gnosis in youre hands" part implies that she can´t even use it and that means she may as well be not the Pyro Archon because maybe she would have to inherit the ancient name from the previous one who might still be alive or has been erased by the abyss. Also the ancient name thing could be something that happens naturally all over teyvat and just in Nathlan it´s being activly used. Like everithyng has a true name, This in turn could hint at how Venti got his bodie from his Friend. And it could hint on how Seelies became seelies.

1:23 Excluding Tartaglia, all the fatuis we've met so far come from the nation where we ran into them for the 1st time. Signora : Mondstadt / Dottore : Sumeru / Scaramuccia : Inazuma / Arlecchino : Fontaine.. So it's highly possible that Capitano was born in Natlan.
Off-topic, i believe Mavuika and Murata is not the same person (or atleast not the counterpart of Muratas in other hoyo games). She doesn’t have a mole, AND based from the game and manga, Murata is THE FIRST ORIGINAL PYRO ARCHON in which makes mavuika a completely different person. Mavuika is more like Shakespear from HI3 based on the hue of her red hair and also her hairstyle.
So technically, Murata is already dead before we even get to see her

I think you misunderstood here: "every other Archon has given away their Gnosis quite easily."
– Venti is the weakest Archon and was defeated in a duel. You can say that he is faking and hiding his true power, but this is 100% personal opinion and speculation. In-game, we have different information: he is the weakest (as of now, 08/20/2024).
– Zhongli gave his Gnosis quite easily, and that’s fine. He mentioned that he would get something from it in the future, but didn’t specify what. (This suggests that some Fatui objectives are important and beneficial for the Archons or their nations? How giving her gnosis will be good for him?)
– Ei doesn’t have a Gnosis because of her puppet body. The Gnosis has no use, so she entrusted it to Yae. However, Yae thought that the Gnosis was less important than the Archon’s life and the future of Inazuma. So she traded it for your life, believing that only you could change Inazuma's future. (This wasn’t an easy decision, considering it involved the nation and the god for the Gnosis.) and it wasn’t Ei's decision. And maybe Ei never used the Gnosis; it belonged to her sister. She always fought without that power (as far as we know), so we don't even know if it was ever of any use to her at any point in her life.
– Nahida gave her Gnosis, but Aether was trapped by Dottore. She was alone, and she clearly stated: Dottore has power that rivals the Archons; she didn’t stand a chance against him. Her only options were to fight and lose the Gnosis (and maybe die?), give it away for free, or try to get something in return. And she did! She killed every Doctor segment. This isn’t a "given away quite easily" situation.
– Neuvillete gave his Gnosis, but like Zhongli, this was a trade, and there are terms that haven’t been revealed yet. Plus, he is the Sovereign, which makes him stronger than the Archons, and we don’t know how the Gnosis affects him or if he is weaker without it (because there are no more Archons in Fontaine, the authority "died"). Yes, he gave it easily, but we don’t know the terms, or even if the Gnosis has the same importance/power/influence as it does in other nations with Archons/Authority.

We know from Neuvillette's drip marketing that there's a 'Xbalanque' – definitely from Natlan, judging from the name – , it is the one quoted at the end of Neuvi's official introduction.
In Mayan Mithology, Xbalanque was a Hero who had a twin, Hunahpu, who 'is distinguished by black spots on his skin, interpreted as the stains of a corpse or as pustules'.
And Capitano's body is all pitch black…

nahida at the end of sumeru archon quest already informed us that top-3 harbingers are as strong as the archons so it’s no surprise that capitano is so confident in his power and ability to fight an archon.
It kinda weird for ne that they call him strongest among fatui not strongest harbinger, mean he stronger than everyone in fatui if pierro and terista (i think i spell it wrong) is part of fatui than capitano is stronger than cryo archon

I think now it's sure that Capitano is rank first and Pierro is even above that with the Tsaritsa. And honestly. Considering that we'll likely go up against the tsaritsa next region it makes sense that we'll face the strongest harbinger in this one. But it's still sad for all the harbingers who could have gotten a fight😢

actually, that made me wonder… if he thinks the plan has failed and he wants to take control and make new rules for natlan which is the nation of dragons, would it be a stretch to suggest that he is a dragon sovereign who is trying to bring back the pyro dragon, presumably who mavuika is talking to in the previous trailers? what if natlan wants to bring back the dragons to fight against the abyss?
and this is even more of a stretch, but if only those who defeat the abyss can be revived does that mean those who die go to the night kingdom and fight the abyss, and potentially get revived?
