They are paying streamers to play their trash, small streamers. They get payment, washed in youtube ad revenue, w the scarcity being the actual access to the game. But they are outdone easily by people who watch them and just say "WTF" and call it out.
how the game even got the green light in the first place astonds me, i want to make a star wars game but without any of the stuff normaly found in star wars, so no light sabers, no force powers.and no jedi. also we want a woman no one has heard of to be the main charicter and she has no skills or future gadgets and we want the gameplay to be dull and uninteresting.

There were tons of positive reviews for Alien Romulus. There's no way they're not fisting money into these "influencers" to get positive takes on their products. It's bloody awful, the state of it.
Paradox seems to have paid alot of youtubers to talk nice about Cities skylines also. And many content creators on youtube dident shut down KSP2 quickly when it was dogshit.

Dude they ALL do it. Look at the hype Cyberpunk got YEARS before it was even finished, big youtubers telling their audience to "PRE ORDER IT NOW!" etc.
Then theres DigitalFoundry, who were on the Nvidia cash take for years and years, deliberately hijacking benchmarks (until being called out and various videos taken down) showing Nvidia cards beating AMD cards, even when they didn't – and the language they'd use when reviewing GPUs.
Linus himself, when he was starting out, did the same thing and even admitted it the moment he got big enough to tell Nvidia to go F themselves.
Bottom line? This cannot happen if people dont PRE ORDER stuff. Wait for the game to come out, listen to a couple of actual REVIEWS of the title and check reviews on STEAM etc – then make your decision.
There are no more "playable demos" for a reason, people. Be smart gamers.
No company would ever spend money on ANYTHING or ANYONE without their being a potential return in the investment. These companies are not anyone's friend. It is literally a paid sponsorship and compromise the validity of the influencer's 'opinions'.
