Tom is an absolute animal devouring that egg, needs to be put in a zoo
I wish you guys would review everything in my life. Brilliant video.
aminals 🙂
Keep your political activision nonsense out of a board game review… Jesus, no one cares if the board game is extremely accurate to how sponsorships work.
3:25 isn't it a wrong placement of the cable car? it has to be next to two rock tiles.
Honestly I think 'Ark Nova' is a really bad name for this game. It sorta brings to mind a Noah's Ark thing where you're rescuing animals, not building a zoo
7:36 when Tom nearly breaks after he slurps the egg. Comedy gold.
11:30 moving back on the break track… XD
Now this is confusing, you got the wrong game! You guys need to have a look at the actual Zoo Tycoon: The Board Game. Wish to see if that game would meet your expectations 🙂
I came here looking for Zoo Tycoon the Board Game. This isn’t it 😂
tha fuckin egg
I would say, if you play against someone who knows what to do, you are without any chance to win. This game is all about adaptation, not luck in drawing good cards. Just look at the top Players on BGA, its insane. This game is pretty competetive if you want it to be.
I mostly agree with the early review but disagree with the final thoughts. It’s a board game that plays well, is relatively balanced and provides a level of strategy that’s needed to balance movement of appeal points with conservation points to maximize your end game score. I didn’t buy the game because of its realism. I bought it to have fun just like seeing a superhero movie. It’s not real but it sure is entertaining
It's really interesting to hear about Matt's view on the conservation elements of the game being too optimistic, but truly I dislike zoos (despite generally loving the animals in them) so much that i probably wouldn't love the game nearly as much as I do if it weren't so invested in, if not a bit misguided in, its optimistic approach to conservation.

For those bad draws, just draw the cards indicated, and then do a complete mulligan if you need to. Fixed. Mostly.
Mm.mmmm m
. Km m NM mm.. NM m? LMK 11:01
Given that Ark Nova is on track to reach #2 in the overall BGG rankings, I think it's safe to assume they are in a minority on this one.
Amazing Chekov's gun play. Didn't even clock it the first time 'round.
@14:00 Militry drones are saving a lot of lives right now in Ukraine. Fuck Russia!
So the biggest critic is that the drawing is rough… which couldn’t you just draw three and keep your favorite or something?
Anybody throws food on my games like that and they’re out 😂😂
Just a bunch of gross aminals…
I'm very happy to add "a bit naff" to my vernacular.
Not sure if my comment saved, probably due to the BGG link I tried to add, but 0:57 watching this 11 months later per the description, apparently Zoo Tycoon: The Board Game is now going to be a real thing in 2023.
the comical parts forced me to Like this video (the review itself is great as well)
