A unique should be an exciting drop obviously some more than others. With these changes I'm pretty happy with the change l. Yah nerfs might be coming but let's be honest the meta in characters overall have been dominated by the barb. Sorc and Druid NEED some love. Unique should help that. Really hope they stop changing things up so much and just supplement new content, events and items. I'd enjoy playing my eternal but it's pointless if my gear keeps getting wrecked by retcons. So I've stuck to seasons, which I generally don't like as much as refining a main character.

Crazy risks adding endgames for 30 people that want to play d4 like it’s their job, and in the meanwhile, the way to endgame is the same boring 100-hour dog sh1t levelling you've done 300 times. They removed all sorts of seasonal power systems that would make Diablo 4 levelling fun to get to max level. But this is what you get when you listen to f@ckhead YouTubers, streamers, and any other no-lifing obese sewer rat.

year 1 required item squishing because people were hitting for 7,8 and 9 digits of damage and dps. Yeeeaaaaaa, they don't know how their math and abilities work. It'd be reeeeeaaaaaal simple and easy to monitor damage/dps if they did. And ya, it's surprising they did updates to items they made obsolete as they inherently should. they made them AND they broke them within 6 months.

Hot take, but a game where you one shot a hundred million mobs for shiny things to drop on the floor is not "engaging gameplay". Why is it so hard to design a game where you are rewarded for timing, skill, reactions, and prediction instead of smashing your face on your keyboard for 3 hours? This was always the plan. Release the game and make sales. Keep everything elongated for player retention on hardcore players. Test were players go. And then react to the community and as u develop better math and understanding shrink and refine the game. They intentionally made the game bloated To fix it later. Same thing u do with any form of art. Just were part of the process.

So way I see it is new itemization is unreliable asblizz seems to be letting things go to keep negative press down until after release so I expect season 2 of xpac to be an overcorrection and by season 3 to get a good idea of where game should be so maybe next may I'll buy the game

Who gives a crap? I've got level 100 on eternal realm and every season, I've never seen one nor do I personally know anyone that has one. For myself and those I know It stopped being prestige to have one, they've become circlejerk items at this point, you can call it sour grapes but there's no excuse for a non-cosmetic item to be this rare.
Edit: I don't argue with trash that can't even respond without needing to imagine me saying something else to have a counter-argument.
This is pretty cool.
They probably won't get it right first time around but I'd rather have them make crazy things like this and get it wrong than do the whole "play it safe" thing and wind up with a relatively boring, generic ARPG experience.
Kudos to them for trying to be a lot more adventurous.

SWEET sounds like a start this and the next 4 season items that make spells/casts/abilties more unique should have come out in season 1. but its a start guess ill just have to wait 4 more season for builds to be fun/functionable/flow
Yeah well all my old mythics that I spent hours farming are basically nerfed. Its cool they reworked uniques and mythics. However, I am tired of farming crap for it to be so layered they are bricked or meh. Then the cherry on top is they essentially nerfed all the old mythics that exist already. F Blizzard. Not buying expansion. Not playing anymore. Waste of time

At the end of the day it remains a boring game they want you to play as if it is a job. No thanks. I don't need a "job" that pays $0. I can get jobs that pay actual money and do real things with the money. Like play elden ring for a bit, then again when the next DLC comes out. Fun, enjoyable. No timers, no dumb currencies, no pyramid schemes.
