The movie is in it's own universe. That's why Vanessa and Abby (aka Elizabeth) is in it, as well as Springtrap (although I'm not sure how they're gonna involve Springtrap in this).
Here's the official synopsis for the movie:
"The film follows Mike (Josh Hutcherson) a troubled young man caring for his 10-year-old sister Abby (Piper Rubio), and haunted by the unsolved disappearance of his younger brother more than a decade before.
Recently fired and desperate for work so that he can keep custody of Abby, Mike agrees to take a position as a night security guard at an abandoned theme restaurant: Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. But Mike soon discovers that nothing at Freddy’s is what it seems. With the aid of Vanessa, a local police officer (Elizabeth Lail), Mike’s nights at Freddy’s will lead him into unexplainable encounters with the supernatural and drag him into the black heart of an unspeakable nightmare.
The film also stars "Mary Stuart Masterson" as Mike’s Aunt Jane, "Kat Conner Sterling" as Abby’s caring babysitter, Max, and "Matthew Lillard" as Steve Raglan, Mike’s smug career counselor" (aka William Afton)

Yeah, the Iconic creepy black eyes with white pupils, that's what we like, that's part of FNAF, not the Clichéd "Killer Robot" red eyes, gimmick, but I personally don't mind, but I get why fans are not fond of that, I'm still excited for the FNAF Movie~

I think the reason why they dont have all back eyes with 2 small white dots is because then they would have a big delay because more engineering and that can take a loooooooooong time (idk how engineering works)
Who Is Steve Raglan? Isnt William's fake name Dave Miller? I looked more into it and apparently the man we see when it says Steve Raglan is supposed to be playing William Afton, the actors name is Matthew Lillard. I have no idea who Steve Raglan is supposed to be and can't think of any piece of lore where that name is mentioned. Mike Schmidt is known as one of Michael Afton's fake names, I also could have sworn that somewhere I heard that before William died he asked Michael or left some kind of note for Mike asking him to work at his pizzerias to finish some things he wasn't able to. Mike in the movie also has a daughter named Abby, which I as a FNAF fan have never heard of until now. Maybe "Steve Raglan" is another one of William's fake names, but we still don't know for sure.
Also is it just me or does William not look at all how I expected him to look. EDIT: apparently "Abby" is supposed to be Mike's sister?! I mean, even though one of Michael's fake names may have been Mike Schmidt, that doesn't make sense! Michael aftons only sister was Elizabeth. Maybe Mike isn't meant to be Michael. My friend said they noticed that Mike had no idea what he was doing but he was working there for his father. Also I'm pretty sure William died before Michael started working st different pizzerias. What do you guys think?
