My almost 15 y/o chocolate lab passed away recently (The BEST boy ever!) and I recently adopted a 14 week old Champagne/cinnamon/silver lab and he is very "mouthy"..
He bit my ( * ) ( * ) this morning and it hurt SO BAD!!!

I am full of brusing, and if I point my finger he bite my finger too 😳
I take my 4 month old Lab out 5 times a day: forest walk, sidewalk exploration, our local park, in our our meadow. I know she gets enough outlet for her energy. She has soft toys, chew toys, puzzles, tugs and treats. She sits well, knows "wait" command. She sleeps through the night like a dream . I work from home and she is not alone in the day. BUT . When we are outside either going for a walk or playing in the yard, she turns, ignores her surroundings and leaps at me, bites my coat, my legs, my hand and snaps, growls and lunges. She has broken the skin on my hands and arms and legs. I have tried turning my back on her: she bites my butt. I hold her leash short with my foot and wait calmly: she bites my foot and the leash. She has torn the bottom half of my puffer. She has put holes in my sweatpants. I give her a soft toy to walk with: she drops it and bites at me. If I'm in an area where I can sit down and get ahold of her she calms and sits with me. But when I stand up it starts all over again. It happens first thing in the morning and throughout the day at random. Not connected to being tired. Not connected to having too much energy as it happens both when she's tired and when she's fresh from a two-hour nap. I just want to have fun with her and love on her but I'm starting to REALLY dislike her which is breaking my heart. I've waited and saved up for two years to be able to afford her. I watched thousands of training videos to prepare. But I feel like a failure. I feel like I've tried everything and am at the end of my rope.

A super important thing wasn't in this video. Sometimes puppies get super amped up with their biting mood and won't stop. In my experience this means either they have to eat, pee/poo, or sleep. Just like a human baby and why it cries.

You can't train a dog to be perfect, just more well – behaved. But I get what you meant by that.
