Great review. I just beat Dead Space and to be honest it was a "WHATEVER" game. I am actually looking forward to playing this game. Something tells me I will enjoy it.

I loved the dead space remake and i will probably enjoy this game as much.
The only reason why people hate this game is because people used Callisto Protocol and Dead Space in the same sentence, expecting it to BE Dead Space. It was never meant to, just because it's a spiritual successor.
Get lost amature
I'm still playing this game and i'm really enjoying it so far. The new Dead Space is out and it looks really good but Callisto Protocol visually is on another level.
Game was fun, but budget was obviously put in the wrong places. They took a lot of steps backwards on simple things. Can't play audio logs while moving, the menus are strange. Can't change performance settings during gameplay for instance. If you try to open the setting you might think the option doesn't even exist, as it doesn't tell you that it has to be done from the main menu, it just says nothing. New Game + was added, but with no option from the main menu. You have to reload a save, play the last cutscene, and then be prompted. And it isn't explained anywhere. It all comes off as very amateurish, which is strange
I had high hopes for this game, was planning on buying it on release. I couldn't wait to shoot the hell out of some space freaks……then I learned that it was melee focused, and the enemies were damage sponges, and the combat was very repetitive. I was out after that, my enthusiasm fizzled out like a wet fart. I was hoping for more of a shooter. The graphics are great though, I guess that counts for something. Maybe I'll pick it up when it's much cheaper, I can't justify paying $70 after watching a friend get so annoyed and frustrated with the combat.
I really don't understand why people hated it so much. Sure, the story is quite meh and unoriginal, but it is fun to play. As for the combat, I kept hearing people say it's clunky but honestly, I don't see it. I haven't encountered any bugs or anything game-breaking, either. I'm actually really enjoying it so far.
This game is soooooo good once you start NG+ and can actually shoot.
Listen, I LOVE melee in every game, but I love it when it’s a choice I make, not when I’m forced to use it. Callisto’s melee ain’t bad, it feels great, but the it’s literally just “bonk bonk bonk dodge” and repeat. The guns in this game feel really good, they have a really good OOMPH to them and hand cannon is a really cool design. So being able to shoot more in Ng+ is really great.
Ps5 owner. I had a few issues at launch. Nothing bad though

For a first review it is pretty solid 🫡. Most of the bad reviews were related to the awful optimization that the game had day one and that in order to have an acceptable experience you had to manually indicate in the .ini file the shader optimization lines (which it seems its a typical Unreal Engine issue). That would be just one of the reasons why this game is mediocre/average. They started a strong marketing movement after Dead Space Remake was announced and relied a bit on the nostalgia card to gain momentum (Dead Space references while Glen said that Dead Space is in the past in an interview, that statement didn't aged that well). The game itself has huge potential but it seems like it didn't had that level of leadership (it could have been way better if Michael Condrey would have joined Glen Schofield on creating SDS as they were together after they left EA and were part of the Call of Duty franchise making the shots, who knows…) and the combat was okay-ish but very repetitive to a certain point that it would get boring. Liked that you pointed out how to deal with multiple biophages during melee combat and to be fair it can be cheesed to not get hit and maintain a good amount of time to melee, you just have to swing two times aim weapon, stop aiming and melee again (but it has to be done very fast). Story was average and with PUBG references and logos from its lore (it has some lore PUBG and the cult group logo is the same as the one from PUBG lore website alongside the survivor quote). Quite funny that they released the NG+ earlier right after the latest Dead Space Remake video on IGN channel 🙃
I still think its a good video game! I just beat it Friday & loved it! I hope they come with a part 2. 💯🔥Great video btw 👍🌟

Why the quarry got shit on ? As "descendant", "heir" etc of until dawn and give in comparison a very terrible experience it quit obvious why people who "should" have like it didnt
same go for this game as it come from dead space a game who was very ahead of his time in most domain it just very under average at best whithout mentioning the fact that as for most AAA those time it's half backed and a lot of thing are not released yet, and as always bug's and poor optimization.
As a game whithout his root it would be a average game in a better era of video game that this one, ( exemple, the fall from re2 remake to the 3) so in this area is a good game but add his origin and it's very disapointing.
Same go for most show even show with terrible script and acting like ring of power would have done better if they would have drop any link with The Lord Of The Ring.

I hated combat. Clunky and unfun. Hopefully it was disc version, so i sold it. Im so glad I didnt buy code or steam version.
