You cant conpare this to other 3rd person games because of the camera perspective.
They dont need to worry sbout draw distsnces or distsnt backgrounds. It allows for a mich higher performance overall.

Have been playing on PC predominantly, but due to an injury I have had to play on the PS5 as well, and the FSR reconstruction issues stick out on the foliage but also majorly on the text on the UI (like the quest tracking and dialogue) to a distracting level for me. Otherwise it looks and runs pretty decent in comparison to what I can run on my PC with a 3060ti and 5800x3D.
Is it a 30fps lock also on ps4 pro and one x?
It's a crazy world we live in when Blizzard is the one who releases a polished and not broken game. Of course it wouldn't be blizzard if it didn't have a cash shop, battle passes incoming, and possibly more in the future, on top of a full priced AAA game (and let's not forget that the deluxe edition which was a lot more expensive also allowed you to play earlier, that is a huge F-U to everyone buying the normal edition)

On my Xbox Series X, in-engine cutscenes are littered with low resolution textures. I am not sure what's going on. Its definitely not correct, and almost certainly a bug. There are others online reporting the same issue almost exactly. In the chapel scene where Lilith appears to the townsfolk, the stained glass window is horribly pixilated. Likewise, the hooded man at the end, his hood is super low res. Please DF, could you look into this. Your platform always catches devs' eyes!
This game definitely looks like an extended Diablo III. From my point of view, it is a shame that devs can't inherit Diablo II art style and game mechanics. But people mostly still happy for like first smooth release so far in this year.
Why the PS4 as a point of reference? Wouldn't it be better to use the weakest available system, the xBox One, to have a "worst case" that will improve the higher up the system gets?!

Blizzard has always made games that run well on lower spec'd hardware.
A game that is hardly pushing the envelope can only be natively rendered lower than 1440p on current gen consoles. Man these consoles were over hyped and under delivered. I bet they age worse than the last gen. Brace yourselves for 30 fps again in the near future. Starfield is just the beginning.

Great Video as always. Please make a video of the pc version. it has a lot of technical issues like BSODS and freezes. i paused it on pc because my pc got already 3 bsod randomly. there are a few reports about this in the internet. now iam playing it on steam deck.

Is the PS4 performance for the PS4 PRO or just the regular PS4. Any enhancements provided by the PRO will make it buyer worthy. Not full convinced by the frames of this PS4 gameplay.
The reason Blizzard likes to use stylized visuals so much is because it allows their games to run on even low-end PCs and laptops to ensure as big an audience as possible.
I think D2R and D4 comparison would be more relevant since the former game is the latest Diablo Franchise game, technically speaking.
On pc at least I’m having issues with my cpu randomly spiking to 75 temp when I’m not even moving in game a lot of people experience the same issue in the forums I have a ryzen 5 5600x btw and setting don’t matter even if I cap fps to 60 and the cpu isn’t even being used barely
Are we going to see a PC review of this? I am experiencing some bad texture issues where some of them just fail to render fully. I would really love to know why because it's driving me insane trying to troubleshoot this.
On PC, there's a way to turn off the 30fps limit in cutscenes. I don't know if that option exists on consoles, but it makes cutscenes way better if you disable it on PC.
I'd your still on PS4/XBO that's your fault. You had 3 years to make the move and you didnt. Dont expect developers to make games for the old-gen consoles. That will not last forever.
Blizzard I give you props for achieving 4K and 60 FPS on PS5/XSX. If you can do it than there no reason for others developers to not achieve the same goal with there games.
