There is a chance that some of the reviewers didn't actually put the work in or even plagiarized reviews they thought had opinions that would go over well with their audience. It's happened before. We'll probably know soon, if any behavior of those sorts are caught by their companies or other journalists. I'm doubtful about any such fraud occurring, but there might still be some among the reviews.
Don't try to inject positivity or negativity into anything. Take the positivity when it shows itself in life, whether in a game you're paying attention to, waiting for launch. If it's good, great! That's a win for everyone interested. Sure, people who try to ruin your excitement experience with spoilers or trolling with negative reviews as ammunition are being hateful and toxic. That can only hurt you if you invest too much of your self worth into such things as this game. Optimize your experience. Don't be positive! That just creates a point that people who seek pleasure by hurting others will target for attack. Their reasons or motivations matter little, because by being hateful they reduce the value of catering to them. They tossed their lot with hate, and about what? A game, that even if it's great, isn't very important in the long run. No game is going to be the greatest game ever, because there will always be better games later on, as development improves. If you're going to get the game regardless of anything else, enjoy it for whatever it offers in value. Just don't blind yourself with positivity or negativity. See things for what they are, not what you want them to be.
Game's an easy 9/10 for me, played all morning into the afternoon. First alone as Robin and then as Nightwing with my Red Hood bestie, it's exactly the experience I have always wanted in an open-world superhero game.

Idgaf about reviews. Especially considering I’ve seen reviews saying the Batman wasn’t kid friendly enough. Reviewers are most often bad at their jobs.
Reviews are important but there not the end all be all of opinions like people act like they are. At the end of the day it’s your choice you’re the one spending money not them.

I honestly can't decide if I want this game or not.
It obviously has many issues. Bad fps performance, dropping below 30 very often.
Bad menus, crafting, etc.
I'm getting mixed messages on the story. Some said it's terrible. Some say it's good.
Also a bunch of idiot trolls are going around spoiling the ending. So ya. I've been spoiled unfortunately.
It's a mixed bag review wise yes there's a few 4s and 5s. But alot are 7s. And there's also 9s. So it's very divisive as a game. Currently playing it around 5 hours in thanks to Smyths in the UK bringing it early. I personally have it around 7.5 but enjoying it so far.

Remember when I said about those performance issues the devs better get on it to at least bump their cred I personally thought this game at max would be a solid 7/10 but that performance was definitely going to hurt the game from what I've seen it decent when it works combat I was always mixed on and the story is predictable I do want this game to succeed but the fact of the matter is the developers didn't do that good with marketing and designing this game reviews shouldn't matter to you personally but honestly some of the reviewers information aren't exactly wrong imo.
My collectors edition just arrived and I'm pretty much finishing work before I jump into the game. I never read reviews anyways so I'll form my own opinion after playing
Pure Xbox gave 8/10 and seems like a fair review. If you are on Xbox and you got in pre ordered just try and and I am sure you will enjoy it. If you don't you can use the refund system and you lose nothing.
