My 4 month old puppy barks anytime he is confined , crate , pen etc. other than that he is no trouble (other than potty training lol)
My puppy barks whenever I move away and she's not busy, I have a safety barrier but what do I do to have her calm down? Do i wait till she's quite then come over to her? Or give her a treat ?
Ah!! SO many videos to watch lol!! Hopefully, you've got playlists!
My puppy is barking every time he sees my grandson who has been visiting for 3 days. It’s driving everyone crazy including the other dogs.
Our pup is a high energy, high-anxiety breed. We are retired so the dog doesn't get exposed to other humans or dogs much. When we meet others out walking or someone comes to the house she loses her mind barking wildly. She's very smart and she knows "Quiet" and we show her everything's fine and keep a low, confident voice. She was making good progress at not barking at walkers or the neighbors, but lately she is going the opposite direction and barks with a terrible frenzy. She can't even hear us, let alone obey us. This afternoon a visitor came and stayed the afternoon. I had to spend several hours holding the dog in the bedroom, trying to calm her. Way too exhausting. She's a shelter dog, very loving and sweet, and i don't believe in rehoming animals, it's like giving away your kids, but i can't continue this. She's been to one series of classes.
Our pup hyper-focuses on and barks anytime one of us goes in the kitchen. Its where the food cones from, makes sense. Nothing distracts him except a kong or other activity treat. I don't want to give him a kong full of treats right before his dinner or every time i go in the kitchen. Ive even tried letting him sit at my feet in the litchen as i prepare the meal but he eventually starts barking cause its taking too long. Suggestions??
My dog is fiting
we had a pup that for the first year of her life she never barked, then all of a sudden she barked at some dog and hasnt shut up since, she will just go off barking inside, she will run outside barking and not stop, its driving me up the wall. if i put a electric collar on her she will not bark at all, so she can control her self
That was a waste of time. My question was how to stop the barking not why is he barking. I found out lots of reasons why the dogs barking not one single way to stop it
One of my bichons sometimes comes up to me when I am sitting and barks at me, for attention. When I go to pick him up he backs up and then runs away, under the bed. He does this off-and-on all day and night. He is the yappy one, the other is mostly quiet. Five months old.
I have been watching many of you segments. Very good.
Thank you for great information in the video.
We have a 7 month old daschund puppy. Goodness, she barks at everything and everyone. It has become insane. Everywhere we go she barks. And not in a nice way. She gets wild, almost like she is charging at the target. We cannot stop her or distract her at the moment of her barking because she goes crazy. We cannot take her in walks or trips. It has become a huge problem. Please help!
He barks because he is frustrated that he is not getting what he wants (food, treats, food that I am preparing for myself, getting out of his pen, access to chasing the cat) or he isn't getting it fast enough.
Thanks! Hope it works.
i have a pomeranian puppy and she always barks and growls for mostly FOOD, attention and sometimes when she gets anxious. I tried ignoring her when she was barking at me while i was eating for attention but it gets worse and worse. I also taught her the command “wait” with treats at the same time but she doesnt really listen to my commands. i was thinking about taking my dog to a family vacation with me in the airplane but im really worried about her barking and growling in the dog carrier for 4 hours… What should i be doing to stop this barking?
My mini Austrailian Sheppard 3 month old puppy barks at my 15 year old 12 lb multipoo
I got two puppies and one is WAY faster thanthe other. WHen the slow one gets behind, or looses a bone he wont stop barking…. It's frustrating…
Hi!! My dog has been with us for a week now, we have a big wall mirror at the house and he has been looking at it for the week without a problem. Now he is barking at himself Trough the window and won’t stop!
Ugh…. I definitely did EXACTLY the "bark – quiet – treat" mistake. Thanks.
So my NEIGHBOR'S dogs are outside all day and bark and everything and everyone. I am getting a new puppy in 1 week and our potty spot will be in view of these dogs. I know these dogs will bark their heads off at my new puppy while he goes potty. How do I make sure my puppy does not bark back at them and/or prevent him from barking at them in the first place?
Mine is a 12 week old puppy. She only barks when she wants to play.
My 4 mo old chi barks at sounds in the house that happen, and things he sees and hears outdoors

hello, i just got a 1 month old japanese spitz mix and shes really playful and vocal, and every time i take her out of her favorite room in the house she stays there and keeps barking until i let her inside. how do i stop this?
He wants in the living room with us
Hello I came across your video because I was looking for information on how to help my 2 years old dog to stop barking at random strangers. A good month ago he start going to a dog daycare for nearly 2 weeks. Since then he barks at random people when we go for walks. Before he wasn’t a barker unless someone strange came to the house; but now when I take him out for a walk at time he barks at strangers even if he doesn’t do it all the time. I am not sure how to stop this behavior that he didn’t have before. Thank you
This was SO helpful! Thank you!
I have a lil puppy. And she barks when I’m on my sofa. I think she might want to play
Hi, My dog used to be super playful and friendly to other dogs (except German Shepards). But for the past month he has been barking and growling at some dogs. My husband has a theory, which I'm not sure is true, he says our dog doesn't like dogs that pee in our front yard. Could this be true?
i become so enraged when i hear him bark, I want to be comfortable in my own home, i wipe his butt and he wont listen to me. but this helps i will take the advice
He barks at any noise
I tried ignoring my puppy when he barks but I turn around and he starts biting me. I understand he’s a puppy so he uses his mouth a lot/bites a lot but it’s exhausting.
i have a puppy shih tzu malthezer almost 8 months old. he barks a lot to get his way. or about a bone bone who has a fellow older dog shih tzu lhaso apso and thus eventually releases the older dog bone bone through the barking and he runs off with it. His barking is mega hz frequency because of thunder in your head you get a headache.
I can’t seem to find any suggestions when I take my six month old Morgie puppy out in the stroller and while he’s in the stroller, he barks at other people and dogs. I do feel he’s barking at a fear, but he definitely seems aggressive. I see no instruction on how to train this away.
My puppy barks at the kitty bc he won't play with him
Daisy barks at people approaching. She is 5 1/2 months old and I wonder if it's because she ha not had enough socializing
ATTENTION Starts and stops seems based on I NEED LOVE
I got a puppy a week ago and even though I researched for A YEAR beforehand, I was not prepared for how exhausting he would be. Two days ago he started barking, mostly for attention I think. Like when I'm using the bathroom?? It's so hard to tell whether he genuinely needs something like go potty or is just looking for attention. I know the best thing to do is ignore him but I live in an apartment building, so the fact that a bunch of neighbors are being disturbed just adds to the stress. I'm gonna try to power through with your tips!
My puppy barks at the cat how do I get his attention when he doesn't know his name yet
She's a puppy and learning as I am learning to teach her to not bark
@HowToTrainADreamDog I want him to stop barking because he is tied up , but i want him to bark when there is stranger orr visitor to the house
My puppy used to go crazy when she heard me on the phone and have bitey zoomies I have gotten het better now though she still whines a little and barks sometimes by having the person on phone whom she met and goes on walks with her in past talk to her and she wags her tail Still a way to go but at last I can make calls now.
My 5 month old pup has changed from evening zoomies to barking and standing by door to hallway/kitchen, which is a different door than to go outside She may just be hungry as if I hold a treat she stops barking and then statrs again if to say "more"
My dog is 8 months old. He used to bark at everything as a puppy. Literally sound of door, drawers opening, any sound. From exposing him to all those things that make him bark, now he's pretty much okay with things and other dogs.
He barks at people though, he doesn't bark at everyone. When we are walking he doesn't bark. At home he keeps barking at the same people, who work in my house. Is this bored barking?
Also when I am driving, and the car stops (at a gas station, parking lot), he barks at anybody approaching the car.
I am glad I have been able to cure 90% of the barking but I want to know how I can find out what causes him to bark. He also seems to bark more when I am around, so it's either fear or guarding thing.
As a side note, I live in a majority moslem country, and they are not allowed to touch dogs. I think this is one of the reasons. Because of them avoiding him trying to sniff, he gets suspicious?
My dog barks when I say "ouch" when she nips at me
