I think we can all agree that the Titan fight are actually amazing. Also you praised the story in the bad chapter lmao
proobably has to be one of my new favorite sonic games, i've already played through it 3 times and havent gotten tired of it
the open zones are so fun to explore and have so much shit to do, i love doing a mini obstacle course, being done with it, and then seeing another one and going over to do it. it all has a really nice flow to it. and i get people thinking the puzzles are just baby mode (they are) but i think them being easy just adds to the flow of things.
cyberspace i honestly really enjoyed, the controls and lack of themes are kinda annoying but honestly i got used to it and i found them to be really fun side things lol, kinda wish the s ranks after 1-2 were just as challenging tho.
the titan boss fights are easily the best part of the game, fighting giganto for the first time and hearing death metal in a sonic game is such an unforgettable experience, supreme wasnt nearly as good but he's still decent. and honestly while i was a bit let down by THE END at the beginning he started to grow on me immediately after? im not sure why, but i just really liked the fight, and that visual of super sonics yellow trail zooming through space was great. i totally get why people wouldnt really like it tho.
i hope the game being this good can convince sega to give sonic team more manpower and be more open to giving them longer development time, iizuka literally saying in an interview he had to convince the higher ups to delay the game internally because they were getting impatient at how long the game was taking is kinda sad.
tldr; sonic good, game good, sonic team good, sega bad lol lmao
sorry for the essay i just become possessed by the essay demon in sonic video comment sections and start typing like crazy🦏
2:24 I like that puzzle, the other ones are more simple or not that complex.
to be honest, what I think was making sonic a bit ''boring'' at least for me, was how overpowered sonic was because all you had to do was pressing one button and the enemy was wiped out of existence but now you actually have to try to beat even the most basic enemies
sonic fans when the boss fight isn't a temple run minigame
yeah honestly the final boss is so much better in normal difficulty just because its a quick cutscene instead of a 10 minute dumbass shooty game.
still isnt as good as wyvern (the best boss objectively 100% true) even without the space invaders
Sonic Frontiers is just more evidence to prove Sega co-founder David Rosen right.
imo the game is pretty mediocre. Yes its the best sonic in a long time but still not good enough for a mascot like Sonic. honestly i feel like the game was made for very young kids and not adults. The puzzles and combat were so basic that it wasnt even worth putting in game. The one puzzle you talk about in your video being to hard. You can literally see the way the lazers go if you look at the ground. Its all burned in on the ground where the lasers go. I say 6/10
They did delay the game, it was meant to release in 2021.
They actually did delay the game for a year already 👀
Best Sonic Frontiers Review!!!!!🙂👍
My theory here is that, at first, the developing team was going great, then, after the bad ign trailer and everybody's expectations going down, sega put pressure on the team and screwed up the final boss, just like they did for most of their games-
I love the game and if we get a sequel I hope they work on the mistakes and perfect it
