Heres what I did I grabbed 2 old socks (preferably a clean sock that you dont care about) rub 1 sock on the cat and the other sock on the dog.
Step2: take the cat sock (the one you rubbed on the cat) and rub it on the dog really good (same thing with the dog sock but with the cat)
Step 3: Let the dog sniff the sock and keep it in the kennel or what the sleeping arrangements are (helps get use to the smell)
Step 4: let them meet through a crack in the door

I brought the puppy home and introduced her to the two cats firstly suzie hissed and left and tigger didn't really care, suzie was abit wild and spent some time being stupid sneaking in for food and staying at the front of the house were tiger carried on the two cats were never frends but lived with each other, suzie slowly got use to the dog and after 2 years the cat and dog would play with each other ,after tigar passed we gave it afew years before replacing her and we got Molly, suzie hated Molly and 5h3 dog became he mother figure and would tell suzie off if she was mean so now the dog and cat are very close and we are getting a new puppy Hazel, the old dog has meet her and was more frightened with this li55le one only 5 weeks old we will bring puppy home at 8 weeks and are hoping everyone gets along im hoping she thinks dogs mum and the cat thinks the dogs had a baby and everyone is happy

I have this tuxedo cat for about 10 years and just got a GSD, he's almost 3 months and I'm trying to get them used to eachother, the cat aways run and hide and the dog runs barking after him, but when they're face to face the dog cries and the cat hiss and try to scratch him. I don't know how to handle this anymore.
My cats think my service dog is their mom, they are absolutely obsessed with her. My husky is just as affectionate, she acts like the cats are her puppies. Personally, I think she's smart enough to realize she's spayed and she sees cats as substitute puppies, while the cats just love the big, fluffy, and warm husky 😹

My cat isn't scared of dogs and she will fight them and I recently got a dog and I want them to get along and my dog is scared of the cat
I need some advice, I have three dogs two are older and have lived with and are pretty calm around cats (we had a cat for 7 years before he passed) however my other dog is about 5 years old and she got along with our cat very well but now we’ve brought home a new kitten and my younger dog gets defensive because all the other cats she’s interacted with beside my old cat were scared of her and hissed and clawed at her. So now she’s defensive of cats in general any advice on how I should introduce them properly?

However every time durring supervised visits trapper the dog wants to love on draco my kitten (like full on groom). He's currently whining outside the gate he wants a friend so bad. Im gonna get a 3 year old french bulldog to my 2 and a half month cat,last time my kitten saw a dog he attacked me,so
I adopted a lab puppy and was concerned that my 2 year old cat might get uncomfortable with her and while watching this video I remembered that my cat befriended a stray doberman on his own, and I was like….oh I don't think I should worry about that.
