I wonder how this would've gone if Sonic 2 was also included. I mean it is a sequel of course but with it, they could also very much have learned from the mistakes of the first movie, and it could be neat to see how it compares to the 3 other movies.
Didn't stick the landing? Dose he mean literally? If so of course he's not going stick the landing Mario just went through a Pipe, to a brand new world, so of course he's not going to be sticking the landing, or stumping on Goombas, or Koopas, or riding Yoshi, it's just a teaser trailer.

I think it's worth noting that the Mario movie "trailer" isn't really a trailer but more of a teaser, so I don't think it's rly fair to compare Detective Pikachu or Sonic Movie trailer to SMB's one. But it's true however, they're all the first reveal clip the studio released as the "first look" of movie and whatnot. …just want to keep that in mind.
