At what age do you start training the cat with buttons? I have a hyper baby bombay kitten.
Beautiful Bengal.
I am so thrilled that you say cats can communicate.
My daughter doesn’t believe me that Poppy tells me what she wants.
She says yes when I ask if she needs a wee. Ok it’s Miaow version of yes.
And others.
I now have a second cat. 12 week old ginger Tom. Called Jasper when should I start training him for things like sit etc thank you
Doesn’t work on stupid cats. My cats don’t have any concept of object permanence and the moment I cover the treat with the post it they become very confused and just stare at me
Emotions seem like they'd be a difficult thing to train a cat to understand, I wonder how people do that 🤔
I would love to be able to talk to my pets but my parents would say no to getting buttons they say the won’t use them, and that it’s a waste of money
I have a 8 week old kitty when can I start training her?
My cat already has a lot to say, I can t imagine knowing what he really is saying.
Thanks!
Your overhand head scratches look a little bit rough or scary to most cats, they prefer if you approach with your palm up especially since your hand is so much bigger than their head
You talk a loooooooooottt, that I miss what I am waiting to hear from you.
I never target trained my cat. He just watched me press the button. He was highly play motivated. So every time I pressed play I played with him. I did it many times each day. Admittedly it took him a while to be able to push the buttons but he knew to put his paw on it. Then he started biting the buttons to activate them. Eventually he realized he had to put pressure on the buttons. Now he is an old pro and has 32 buttons and uses them appropriately. I’m behind in adding new buttons. He has a very large vocabulary. I never had to purposely teach him words. He already knew what they meant from just talking to him.
Do you have a video explaining how to get a cat into carrier?
This is 10 m old any updates?
Yes, you can always talk to your cat! It's understanding your cat that is the challenge!
Please be careful to NOT teach your cats that all buttons are for getting food…or pets…or food AND pets!
ALSO, Billi is a 14 year-old female who started buttons at 11; has mainly been a solo cat with a same human.
My cat knows to tap the button, but I can’t get him to actually activate it. Once I stop rewarding him for tapping it, he gives up on it all together and seems to forget to tap it in the first place
Can you just make the clicker sound with your tongue?
What treats / food do you give Mia?
Wow! I love her! How are you not afraid of here getting out to far when she goes outside? I would really love to learn how you did it
His mother was a Bengal too.
Looks interesting but my cat talks very effectively already like Mia!
Just got my buttons on order. I've already trained my cat sit, stay, no claws (if she plays aggressivly). She understands no and later as well. Traind without treats or food. All cuddles, scratches and pets when she does the thing I asked.
Can you make a play video. As a 1st time cat owner I see that they are very sound sensitive. I use this to get him interested in play.
I also have a bird that I want the cat to
be a companion. Any suggestions for establishing peaceful interactions with other creatures?
Thanks, this is amazing. I plan to find some 3m notes as soon as I get home.
I just have a New cat for 2 months only.He is 10 months old.Looking forward to Teach These Tricks..Happy to found this channel!❤if you are curious what cat is mine (its a British Longhair full White Coat)
What do you do when your cat doesn’t respond to treats. Totally not interested in them.
Were did you get the talking bottom
Why haven't you people wised-up and started making the buttons smell differently also?
Love our buttons – we did target training and now our 7 and 8 month olds press the two "play/ cuddle" ten times a day, looking forward to show them more but starting small
I have seen a veterinarian saying buttons can increase anxiety and stress in cats and cats already speak with us, if you pay attettion in your cat, you will naturally understand them without buttons.
Talking buttons are so common with cat and owners these days
May I ask what harness you’re using? I have a Bengal myself & would love to explore the world with him 😻
Hi! Just a question, what do you do so that your cat doesn’t catch any ticks when you walk her?
I have the most non-verbal cat in my life. He asks for treats only when I am on a certain chair. He whines at things outside the window.
This was a recommended short and I subbed, thanks! My parents had a 10+ year old outdoor cat who didn't let anyone touch him. Within a month of my sitting with him, he was climbing into my lap and in 2 months he could do 3 circles and sit. I hadn't read or seen anything on cat training…it just seemed like common sense to me to be patient and allow him his boundaries. I miss him. His name was Pals.
Hi, I have an orange cat (1 year old female) who absolutely hates traveling in the car, and I have tried putting some treats in, going slowly taking breaks whenever she starts shouting, letting her explore the car before starting it for a while, and yet within 2-3 minutes of starting she invariably starts shouting and getting scared. Then she usually perches up between the middle two seats, looking backward, yelling scared continuously… PLEASE HELP CAT GOD! I have not tried putting a cage inside the car, I have several restrictions in the types of treats available in my area, so I have not tried giving her special dedicated treats inside the car either…also because I don't know which ones. ANY TIPS would be so helpful!
is it just me, or has Mia gained some weight?
