I have yet to see a dog trainer with an active puppy.
Question.. When I'm walking across the room, my 13 week old spaniel jumps on the back of my legs, pulling at my pant leg. I'm afraid I'm going to fall. What do I do when this happens. Right now I stop, say no and push him away. Of course he doesn't stop. But when I stop walking and ignore him, he continues .
I love informational learning videos but I’d like to say .. my lab .. never jumped and never bit . Never .. it’s just not who he is . And man did I get lucky
my puppy bites and jumps behind me when i!m walking what do i dp
What do you do when your lab is so smart with training he does it everytime with treats but then you take the treats away and he no longer listens hahahah. He is stubborn and doesn't listen unless you have food. He catches on quick with food but without he acts up.
My Puppy is 4.5 months now. She always get excited easily and bite us. What can we do to let her calm ?
This dog is very calm and well behaved. I need to see real jumping and biting. My puppy is 12 weeks old and is bites ALL the time. And it gets worse when I tell her no. She doesn’t like to be told no and goes nuts. Help!
My puppy jumps and I turn then he attacks my butt. He jumps and bites.
What do I do when my puppy ignores any item and goes straight for my hand? 😢
That tail looks super weird..
Thank you for this video! Just got a puppy and it helps a lot
What do you do when you turn your back if they still jump at the back of your legs and nip the back of your legs?
I got a 4 month old Shichon – she jumps and nips. I'm covered in bites . She is really out of control.😢
I’d love to see a training session with a Siberian Husky! 😅 Everything being taught goes out the window!
now what if you throw a toy and the puppy doesn't bring it to you, but takes it away. And I am talking about retriever Labrador, but for some reason she doesn't bring it to me. She always runs and almost jumps at the toy, but rarely brings it to me, always takes it somewhere to her hide..
None of this works with my dachshund puppy. Nothing helps
You must live a awesome life just saying from the opening credits
My 8 month old black mouth cur is biting and nipping when I play with toys. He jumps also, this doesn't really work for me.
Will this work with an older dog of say 3/4
Thank you. Very helpful 🙏
My natural behavior with dogs aligns with your training. Yet, I've spent most my life listening to others tell me to just let them be. People who have dogs who behave poorly or no dogs at all have a lot to say about training.
I used this method to stop my puppies from attacking me when I get there food. It works so well! I love your videos. Thank you so much for what you do.
It tears your clothes when they jump and bite. Grrrr!!!
thanks Joel! I have a 5 month old dashchund and she was a bitting-and-jumping nightmare, first we tried punishing by 'bitting' her with our fingers and hands in her neck, but got worse (she's very quarrelsome). finally we try ignoring her or leaving and it worked so well! same thing when she starts barking for attention.
This doesn't work for my aussie pup. She jumps on my 6 year old, and my daughter naturally does what you suggested; but the pup will start biting her hair when she turns around.
Saying uh-uh and leaving when she jumps is negative reinforcement, not "negative punishment". Still cute though. The pup is cute too.
This pup was waaaay too sweet to demonstrate bad behavior.
Thank you got a 1 yr old husky pup that nips when excited and as you know it's all the time😅 we play tug of war and he's got to big multi knotted ropes and nipping is dropping
what about when walking on a leash in public and they do this? i have a 3 month old cane corso/lab/husky mix and he jumps and tears at my coat and arms during the walk sometimes. i try turning but then he just chews his leash 🙁
the dog just jumps up and bites your ass ..that doesnt work.
Good job, Joel!!!. very specific and it worked well. how about showing it with a more hyper breed type? would it take the same amount of time if done properly, consistently? I think so! your instructions were quite clear.
I have a problem with folks who meet my dog and encourage the excitement , usually some big guy, and have no idea about correcting the jumping.
(I try to head them off ahead of time, but sometimes have to resort to "OFF" and a pull if I'm too late or the person laughs and wants to play and grab, , when my dog is off leash….not the ideal situation) I try to keep away from folks like that, BUT it has happened
What if you turn away and they bite the back of your leg? This is my struggle…no matter how i try to stop the behavior, it escalates 😢
My 3 month old jumps and nips and my pants legs as I walk away from her how can I stop this
Thanks!
Ya i tried this. My puppy keeps jumping biting my butt and ass.
this video has already helped me so much with my 3 month old puppy and its realistic! thank you!!! I will continue doing this for weeks. I've had problems with my puppy nipping my ankles and now when I give him his favorite toy it takes attention away from me.
Beautiful Corso
what if they are jumping up at you and biting your clothes- sleeves, back of your sweater, leggings? even if you try to turn and not give attention they jump up and latch on?
My mom said when she turns away from the puppy, the puppy bites her behind. He's driving us crazy hahahhaa
Mine bites my legs harshly no matter if I turn my back or Im looking at her. She doesn’t let me walk around the backyard its very irritating. If I ignore her until she sit she prob is gonna devour my entire leg.
Yeah, I turn my back and he just jumps on my backside even pulling my shorts down. Unfortunately, this dog is too well-behaved.
When I turn my back and say Uh-Uh he jumps on my back
My pups out of hand. Idek what to do no more I've tried EVERYTHING
I told my 4 year old to do this and my husband was upset with me because he said you should never turn your back on a dog. Is turning the back and saying ah ah still okay for young kids to do, or should only the adult do it?
… your videos and information is fantastic.
… but why is your office in your kitchen?
Love how you train, really works. 6 mo old wheaten/ poodle mix . When he gets into his zoomies, inside or playing outside he will start zooming and as he runs by me bites my ankles. Sometimes gives a growl and keeps going. Ignoring him does not seem to work. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
Have a three month old giant breed, hope this works. Thank you. Update, didn't work well, I turned, he ran up nipping me in the back and side of my legs! I yelled no, he barked and lunged at me again! Had to grab him by the collar without being bit, and pick him up and get a leash on him and walk him around and he settled down. Wow it was rather unnerving.
We are about to go get our new…Dobbie… pup!!!! 6-8 wks….

I want a PRINCcess……
Well trained pup and long term BEST Trained dog!?!?!?!?!?!.
