My puppy bites all the time. Even when training
My puppy often nips hard on back of leg whenever I’m in kitchen cooking dinner or washing dishes. She is just about to be 6 months old. What do u recommend? Also sometimes she gets hyper and lunges at me when I’m trying to get her to sit or go into crate how can I get that behavior to stop?
Doesn't work for my stupid ass dumb dog
Puppies don't just outgrow biting. And who in the world likes being bitten and thinks it's fun??
I just woke up and read the title wrong….
Great video👍🏻
Do poodles grow out of it? Never had a puppy like this. And i talked to a person who had a one year old pup and it still bites.
Great to have an explanation, my 4 month Aussie loves to nibble and use his paws which are very sharp as well! I will try your first tip out and see how I get on. Thank you
My 11 week old GSD is shredding my arms and hands 😭 We’re getting better but I feel like whenever we play it easily turns into a let me leave the toy and start going after your arms and hands. She’s broken skin many times 😭 I’ve redirected with toys, with treats, but I’ll try this method and see if it works
I adopted a 1.5 year old Chihuahua she lunges at me nips my feet my ankles, runs with zoomies and bites my feet pants legs ect. And if I ignore it it gets a bit more aggressive. Any suggestions for stopping this behavior
Your training tips have assisted with training to raise my now year old incredible dog! Now have a 3 month old rescue and bead looking for a video on working through new puppy biting of other dog. When is it playing and then not playful and suggestions. As of now, separation has been the key go to as the puppy bites hairfuls out of my dog at times and so working through this as I know they will be best friends when puppitis is over but not wanting my dog to become reactive until then. Most of the time they are great together and play, supervised. When the zoomies begin, that is when playtime is not fun for all. Thought I would check to see if I missed a video on that or maybe something for you to consider in the future.
This video doesn't only tell you how to stop it but why they are doing it in the first place.I just hope that it will work on my dog.He bites me and when i tell him to stop,he bites me more. But he just does that because he likes to play….Thank you for this video.
The Guide elaborates on the techniques used on the show. The examples given in the https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxECnmSvBSv_NGWx4_ChD73pF3NYZwI2F3 are helpful and some of the techniques suggested very useful. One such technique/tool suggested was the lure stick to encourage a small dog to keep up with the heel command. I have a small dog who lags behind smelling any and everything and find it hard to keep bending over while walking to his level. The lure stick is great also for another dogs focus and sprinting at anything that catches her eye. The stories about different dogs, their different temperaments, have been helpful, especially Lulu's: After reading about Lulu's challenges I felt relief concerning one of my rescues that I have had for 10 years. Over many years I have checked out many training books from the library, watched different shows, DVDS, bought training books, taken lessons and this book is the best by far! Kindness, patience and perseverance works.
Simple, to the point, and without needless droning. Everything my content is not. 🤣 Seriously, tyvm, both me and my future ESA salute you. ✊🏻🖤
It’s ok for me but not when I have kids running around. That could potentially cause the kids to fear dogs.
My puppy play bites and I am okay with that because with time it will go away but I'm having issues with when I give him a treat during training he is super rough on biting g while getting the treat. We have taught our dogs in the past to take treats easy. Is there any video you have or advice on how to teach him to take the treats easy. I've even tried the cupping the treat method you have and he still just takes my whole hand lol
Thank you and also the training over all is going so well I appreciate the videos you post and how easy they are to understand.
This is something I'll have to try out. I have a 3 month old Mal that I am pretty sure is teething. I've been saying "ow" or "ouch" but I don't think he understood until we were playing (ironically enough with his soft duck toy) and he missed the duck and got my hand instead and I accidentally yelled OW!! He didn't puncture the skin, but I have a fair amount of nerve damage in that arm/hand so someone running their nail with slight pressure on my arm hurts. Thankfully he really likes chewing on his bone I got him cause he seems to have ADHD with all his other chew toys and keeps wanting my sweaters, and everything else.
My german shepherd came home 2 months ago and all he do is BITING I will definitely try this out! Thank you so much ❤
great video nathan! gonna try it on my new adoptee, a very playful and energetic border collie mix. Thanks for everything
GSDs are soo cute
I’ve got an 8 week old male Rotti and nothing works, when I press down on his tongue he lets go and comes back harder.
No offense, but that was the stupidest advice I’ve ever seen your dog is not supposed to bite you whether it’s playful or not that is some of the stupidest advice you could ever give to anybody wow
He presents training in 7 days. Each of 7 items are commands that he believes a dog should know. They are presented in part ii of the book https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxK8-VQWpYThx4IC6MiIvb6VS1ebTzzdxq . The parts of the guideare divided: part i know your dog part ii the seven commands part iii cures for 7 behavior problems. Each chapter presents a topic, a dog's story, and a "what to do". It was written simply and you can jump from chapter to chapter to review anything as needed.
I did what the mom did to the puppies when they were sucking on her too strongly with their teeth . The mom pitched them with her mouth on their heads and they stop using their teeth.. so I pitched them when they bite me and they stopped in the 3rd pitch. Worked for all the puppies. Simple pimple
My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxibD_L3sDyYENL5CwePCd9plRBqjzw2mw At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff…..
How about stopping the puppy from biting objects? When his mouth isn't close enough, any tips that don't hurt him at all?
Do you have a video for stop barking my little dog to one years! Merci for my Yorkshire and me🤓
Àq
That puppy looks just like my Aussie Shepherd
At what age (average) are they out of puppy biting age ?
I like the play bite (18 months) but its everytime you want to play/ rub belly/pet…etc.
If possible is there a way to turn it off and on… donsometimes bit not everytime ?
Ruff housing /play bitting is fun for both of us not not every single time.
Thanks
Try that with my puppy
My puppys 6 months old shepweiller big she bites hands & feet she looks like full grown dog
This is confusing. The easiest way to stop puppy biting is… To let them do it?
