God Of War Ragnarok – Accessibility Review (PS5)

Dude! I love what you’re doing, but do us all a favor when you do these accessibility reviews. Assume we don’t know how to play one of these games. Other words, walk us through how to actually turn menu narration on, for example. It would’ve been helpful for you guys to have done that in the last of us part two. I’m fairly new to playing PlayStation five games, so I would really love it. If you could do some more in-depth walk-throughs of how you actually play a game, indeed this is possible. I understand that some games have little menus there where you can turn certain things on before you even start the game, so I’m wondering if this is the case. But if you’ve got any tips for getting me started, please. Fill me in by any means necessary.

I am a casual gamer with mild accessibility needs in vision and motor realms. I just started playing this game yesterday and the accessibility options are almost overwhelming so the preset profiles were really helpful. I’m about three hours in and I’m so thankful for all the help the developers put in, because this game would have been unplayable for me even with story mode by itself because my frustration tolerance would have made this feel like punishment instead of gaming. I pray developers keep adding in robust difficulty and accessibility options. It’s definitely become a feature I look for in games, but is probably now a requirement before I’m paying for any expensive new game. As the prices keep increasing it’s too costly to buy a game I might only get to play 25% of.

This game is not accessible for blind people yet. It's unplayable the way it is. The features are there but not fully applied. There's no way a blind person can play this alone. I followed the live from the Blind Kombat channel (in brazilian portuguese) and it's really frustrating to see the lack of accessibility in key points. I hope a patch is released that makes the game really accessible. Waiting and hoping…

This is great news I myself I’m looking forward to being able to purchase a PlayStation five and this will be One game I will definitely be picking up.

I've heard from some reviewers that there will be a day one patch, so hopefully some of these accessibility issues will be fixed.
