Hi have you got a video for training a 3 month GSD to stop biting?
No one realizes how similar German shepherds actually are to grey wolves. Look at this grey wolf puppy. I have met wolf hybrids, huskies, timber wolves, foxes, malamutes, coyotes, and coy wolves . I’ve seen a lot of wolf dog breeds developed. I got to meet a real grey wolf pup at 6 months old who wasn’t even done growing and she was the size of a husky but not even full grown. When I met her personality and features , even color patterns, nothing reminded me more of any other dog then the German shepherd! And
German shepherds are indeed a wolf dog
I taught my girl hand signals too.. Which is pretty cool. I put my hand up ✋like that.. She sits… Then go downward and she lays down.
You know what really impressed me about this video? For non-dog trainers, this may seem like a very minute, unimportant detail, but it can be VERY important.. I have NEVER seen someone transition a dog from a sit to a BACKWARD down as you did in this video. Their natural movement from a sit to a down is just to move the front paws forward. BUT…. in the future, if your dog is about to run across a dangerous street and you need him to STOP IMMEDIATELY, you do NOT want him crawling forward into a down! You want him to go into a backward down and SCREECHING to a halt. I don't know how you accomplished this sit to backward down, but it is VERY impressive. I've just defaulted to never transitioning from a sit to a down but always a stand to a down, but I would love to know how you taught that! As I said… in years of training, I've never seen anyone accomplish that! VERY WELL DONE!!
Awesome

What are you feeding him? Is it training treats or kibbles? Do you just feed him his meal as a training session?
He reminds me of my cat pheonix a maincoon Savannah mix kitten so curious and happy
He is so cute and he’s so happy
He's adorable
Mine is 10 wks and WAY smaller than him, is he a mix of something else?
Call PETA. Man, that is a Great Line!
Can you train my 3-month-old German Shepherd cuz she don't listen to me 😂
Hey what food would you recommend for the breed? From puppy to adult?
He needs to work on his sitting pretty position 😂😊
Another great video. Beautiful pup
My. From 11 week gsd has never peed or pooped in the house but she is a puppy and tries to eat things thanks
All babies need instruction. My last canine unit was a timber wolf hybrid. She was a great beta. And ended up being my service animal. I have trained stallions with nothing but a rope halter. Teaching is always the key. Force is never the solution. You just have to be a better dog, cat, horse, or even fish.
I'd love to hire you to help me with my 10-week-old little German Shepherd girl. Are you in the Fayetteville North Carolina area or do you know of somebody that can help me out? I don't really have the patience at being 62 years of age and still working. But I would really love to have her trained taught well
Why the correction?
Nice one
Video should be titled how to command your trained dog not how to train. What a waste of my time.
What treats are you using?
Eastern German line, right?
Very nice dog.
this is so helpful😃
i just got mine 3 days ago she is gonna be 12 weeks in 6 days. im starting her training today wish me luck!
Hey Garret what type or brand positive reward dog treat would you recommend to use for my 8 week old GSD. THANK YOU for your work.
Abusive ass hole here. MUCH better trainers @modern malinois and Tom at nobaddogs on youtube. NEVER USE A PRONG ON A PUPPY'S NECK!!!!!
How do you teach him to heal?
How do we get them to attack
How old should a GSD puppy be to start training them?
You keep calling him 2 different names
I have a 4 month old working line GSD that is reactive to other dogs, he’s starting to pull, and won’t potty train. All his other training has been good. Hes not like a “normal” puppy, his brain is always in work mode and seems serious all the time. Would he still benefit from the puppy package or would I need to bump him up?
Saw your videos and got excited about training a dog. Yesterday I bought a 12 week old GSD and I'm learning to train him. Something happened where he's fearful in general unfortunately and his food drive is slowly getting better. But these videos have been extremely helpful, day 1 of training and he's already sitting, laying, and staying based off hand gestures. His strengths seem to be coming and heeling.
My German Shepherd is a little over a year old… I rescued her from people who were clearly not able to take care of five puppies and two adult German shepherds, they were running wild in the neighborhood and I offered them $50 for one of the puppies and they said yes so I took her home. She was three months old when I got her, she was wild no training at all. Very rambunctious able to focus. She still has a jumping habit which is absolutely dangerous. she is broken. My foot tripped me cut me with her nails when I opened the door and she raced out running over my foot thank God it was the back door and she was only going potty, but she has so much undisciplined behavior to correct she jumps up on you she does not stay. It’s almost as if she can’t like her body won’t let her do it. She’s so much of a child she is getting better but man she is a handful if you do not discipline her and make her do it over and over and over and over and over again she just doesn’t get it, I guess this is because she was three months old when I got her almost 4 months and did not have any training. We are way behind unfortunately but she’s trying she can sit. She can lay down ,she can stay a little bit she’s getting better…😂 but the jumping up on me is really hard to deal with. I kick her in the chest with my knee. if I catch it, the thing is she does it without being aware of when she’s going to do it it’s like she won’t do it once and then she’ll run right back 10 minutes later and jump up on you. It’s like you can’t figure out when she’s gonna do it and then she jumps from behind like she’ll come up from behind and jump on me. It’s crazy I’m only 5 foot and I weigh 112 pounds and she knock me on my butt. She has knocked me on my butt actually several times I wish I could fix it.
what size mat would you suggest for a GSD to take them through training
Thanks man! That was great. I'm getting a white GSD next week. She's 7 weeks, Missy. Can't wait.
Lol, my GSD is at ten weeks… Looks like I have work to do! She really has no attention span right now and is not food/ trear motivated. She doesn't really listen much, shes more sight focused as well. I do a little work with her but just letting her play and be a puppy as well. She is resistant to the leash unless I take my older dog together on walks she stays in cadence with her. She is really young but this is a great starting point! Thanks again!
Wish I'd found your channel sooner. My gsd pup is 6 months old and very strong willed. I took a budget friendly puppy class but it wasn't very good. I feel like the commands I give my girl are confusing her now…either that or she's just deciding to do whatever she wants. I especially wish I'd taught her "off", "stand", and "watch". She's OK with "place". But I'm having a very difficult time getting her to be less mouthy, both with barking and biting. Seems like the only thing that works is more work lol. She LOVES being outside and that's certainly good for me😅.
How sweeeeeeeet❤❤❤❤❤❤
GSD/malinoise has been my dream dog forever.. FINALLY picked up a GSD at 35 im VERY excited! appreciate the videos! thank you
That is the most beautiful coat I’ve ever seen on a German Shepard. All black long haired German Sheppards are now in 2nd place 🙂
Really helpful video, thank you, sir.
What are the treats that you are giving him?
What training treat are you using to train ?
