i will wait for the steam deck oled price drop 😊, same with nintendo switch oled i wait thre price drop before buying hehe. than i regret later cos i buy it high price.
11:35 do- do you fr use edge????
The steam deck was everything I ever hoped for. It allowed me to pack away so much stuff and have it available instantly through steam deck. It allowed me to experience the path I didn’t take when buying systems. It totally got me back into playing games. I just wish I could sit down and bang out RPGs like in the old days. I’d definitely recommend it total game changer.
Love your videos. How can you play games, watch tv, and spend time with your wife all at the same time? Are you really enjoying any of those things at that point? Serious quesion.
it emulates tears of the kingdom like a potato. i still play on switch lite
Somebody saw the TV in the background with Zelda?!
One game that stands out to me on Steam Deck is Warframe, it manages to feel great without m+kb cause of the config freedom and back buttons.
I still do prefer the breakneck speeds I can't quite get to on any controller, but I can totally play this game very well on my balcony now.
Warframe is all about the movement, so playing it like this makes it surprisingly novel.
I'm not a fan of skins, especially not ones that get in the way or hold onto extra heat, I'm also not interested enough to replace parts of the deck itself, but…
I'd LOVE an expansion to software themes. One thing I love about consoles is their flavor and I like Steam's, but it'd be super cool if they could make some inspired by things like the PSP and especially the original xbox, that thing had so much personality. Part of why it worked so well is cause it was so novel, early 2000's were all about wacky futuristic designs, but we can totally still do stylized well if we realize not everything has to be either minimalist or generic contemporary xXgamerXx gear style. I'm thinking quality > quantity, you wouldn't wanna drastically multiply the workload whenever it gets a new interface element or what have you, each theme should have a vision behind it.
I view the Steam Deck as this thing that is sort of like a console, but it's also whatever you make it.
If you're way into retro games, it might feel more suitable to give it a theme that reflects that.
However, the clean theme it has is then also the ideal choice imo if we are to have only one, cause it's so neutral.
It might be odd to play original Super Mario Bros on this hyper-futuristic neon machine, and a modern look that reflects our current time currently also feels agnostic to the different eras of games we play on it. If in 10 years standards are way different though, it'd feel like playing game from x era on system from y era.
Great vid! Super helpful!
You are really honest. Thanks for the content
Just bought mine and so far I haven't really played it that much. I wanted to play Baldur's Gate 3 on my deck both handheld and on the TV and I just realized that on the TV the game is just impossible to play. It's so hard to see anything 'cause it's blurry. So for my I'm only on Xbox because of that and Switch
I set up eldest a few weeks ago and since then I’ve logged liek 20 hours on SSX 3 it’s amazing on deck and a perfect bus/train ride game
cant wait to get my deck.. i got the email saying they are getting ready to ship. im hoping by monday
You play video games while you watch a movie with your GF 😂😂😂
Man don’t ever do that
Love the channel, but I had a chuckle at a contradiction during the leather skin talk… Case comment: "not worth the extra cost. Money could be put to better use for something else like an SD card." Leather skin comment: "At $50, It's pricey, but may be worth it to you." 😂 I have gotten an aftermarket case thst is the same. dimensions as the original, but it has moved the back scoop to the inside. If was $10. I store a usb-c cable and a 65w battery power supply in it. I couldn't effectively carry a charging device with me the original case. The original could only really hold the included Deck power plug. I also use a silicone sleeve/case on my Deck. A little thicker than I'd prefer, but pretty protective. It came with a screen protector and stick toppers/protectors. That was $13. I've spent less than half the cost of the leather skin alone on this whole set of protective items, so I thought it was funny enough to mention. 😋
50 DOLLAR SKIN normally there 500
Edit: oh you mean that skin I was talking about human skin
>''ive been playing games some consider mindless….celeste, hades…."
Rather the mindless games are generally RPGs, where you passively watch or read what's happening while following indicators on maps like a tourist on a guided handheld tour, and destroying anything in your path simply by fulfilling a gear/level check, casting fire against the ice monster and so forth, rock paper scissors mechanics etc. 99% of rpgs are mindless while a few rare exceptions take a bit of thought I suppose. While action games actually take player skill to get good at not just grinding and farming items for a character to buff up, even piss easy platformers like kirby or crash bandicoot are 1000x more mentally engaging than the vast majority of ''rpgs'' and other walking-simulators
would love an update with the oled!
Love this channel I'm 41 and you're advice helps keep it up
Man I’m sad I don’t have one, I don’t have 399 dollars =(
Wow they talk about this like " if I have 2 hrs beforw bed I will play, if I have 2 min between eating and going to work I will just grab my retro console and play for 73 seconds. Whoc the fuck plays random ahit on 10 consoles for 90% of your time lol .
I noticed at the very beginning that you arent breathing when talking, so you have to cut to break between every sentence or two, it's pretty annoyinbgwhen you notice it
I want to do emulation and play a lot of my older games I just don’t know where to look or trust for roms 😢
I really like that leather skin. $50 for a skin is steep, and I was shopping on Dbrand today after I picked up my Steam Deck of FB marketplace. But the idea that the skin actually ages with use and tells its own story is really cool. Much the opposite of a more traditional vinyl skin that you continually fuss and worry over as it gets yellowed and scratched from use and touch. Seeing the wear on the leather like that reminds me of an old ball glove that's been broken in and seen some playtime. Cheers!
Love it! Not that anyone would ever time travel in Animal Crossing, but would it only change “Dolphin time” or full system time on Android?
I got my GC at full price with a Best Buy replacement plan. Second year of college, asked for the money when the open button occasionally stuck so I could get a bigger TV. Totally regretted that decision. Eventually bought a used one a couple years ago. Preordered an Odin 2 base recently so I look forward to this.
steam deck is cool, its just waaay too big to becarrying around.

gay
About a week ago, I spontaneously decided to emulate the entire Zelda series in my Deck.
Never looking back.
Dbrand skins are overrated. Thanks to LTT.
Can you play your xbox games from it, without having xbox live?
I use my Steam Deck for everything you do. But my laptop's fan failed and then failed again a month after I carefully replaced it. So the steam deck has been my main computer. It's actually slightly more powerful than my old beefy laptop. It's a great computer, not perfect, but better than a windows computer in my opinion.
Russ is the uncle everyone wants to have
I’m hard of hearing and I can’t work out what you said the controller was called? 8-bit something?
What do you mean by black ? Lol jk great video
Hey, what’s that light behind your sofa? It’s cycling colours. Got an affiliate link?
3:57 That's racist! 😀
I have a very beefy gaming pc. It feel stupid to play something like rogue legacy on it. But on deck? That's where it's at.
I’m gonna dislike every video here until you stop assaulting my eyes with the bright white HDR 1000nit splash intro video.
