3:00 "It is so nuts", I hope not as nuts as harvesting autism as a bio weapon
Hopefully Badlands isnt woke trash like Prey. Thankfully Elle Fanning has always delivered without the need to pontificate on just how great she is at delivering. If youre a stunning and brave she warrior the performance should say it all, see Ripley. Ripley was a badass lead who delivered time and time again by showing and not once needing to tell us as an audience just how great she was. Prey girl was an obnoxious twat and would have died within 2 minutes as she was too busy bitching about everyone elses take on her to take down a damn Predator
If there would be an Alien vs Predator 3, it would set in the 22nd Century (same timeline as the Alien trilogy) unlike the first two movies (and would ignore AVP: Requiem).
That plot synopsis for Badlands has me concerned, but let's see what else comes out first.
Why go back to AVP and then change the whole thing? That´s not being creative. Alien Isolation showed the way to do a cool new story while keeping the original setting.
I liked Romulus but I'm not sure I want a direct sequel I'm kinda like thinking they made it out and Rains working on a way to fix Andy , but if they do if be happy with a face hugger or an egg having made it's way aboard and getting lose and causing havoc on heaven?? (Can't remember the name of the planet they were trying to get to ) As long as it's not an aliens remake maybe a more alien stalking the habitat horror or I'd like to see what happened before Romulus
It's interesting that Steve Asbell said they couldn't talk about one of the two upcoming Predator movies, but referred to Badlands as "live-action". No one would assume it was anything but live-action so why call it out as such. Except that perhaps in his mind, THAT is what differentiates it from the secret Predator movie? Animated feature perhaps?
I dont like romulus that much i like the horror stuff but i didnt care for the characters ngl i wish shaw became the new ripley
They sound to excited idk this could be cool or a mess
I’ve like the Disney owned output so far but thinking back I’m sure we said that initially when they started Star Wars releases then the avalanche of rushed and poorer quality of films and Tv stuff came along.. I hope history is not about to repeat itself…
What the sequel to "Alien: Romulus" be about is an exploration of the Remus module that wasn't explored of which maybe since the movie wasn't truly canon, then something way worst than what was explored in the Romulus module could've been in there.
Please get some Terminators and Skynet vs David and the engineers and throw in some Predators n colonial Marines! Thanks
i just want to see more colonies on other planets, i'm interested in the world building of alien.
I find it odd that Romulus is considered such a success on $350m. Adjusting Covenant for inflation, it would have made ~$303m in 2024 USD, which isn't a ton less. Prometheus made $403m in 2012, so it made more numerically alone (and adjusted, roughly~550m). I mean, I personally really enjoyed Romulus but I loved Prometheus and liked Covenant as well – I just can't wrap my head around why is Romulus being touted as such a success when it marginally eclipsed Covenant (adjusted for inflation) and, again marginally, underperformed compared to Prometheus (or seriously underperformed if accounting for inflation)? I get that some among the fan base disliked the 2 prequels, but I've seen about as many folks also dislike Romulus 🤷♂️
For alien Romulus sequel, given how easy and dangerous it is to kill off both Rain and Andy, I would say just let both of them live a peaceful life after what they have been through, and focus on making another alien Romulus prequel instead where fans of the franchise get to see every protagonist die and what happened to the station would be the right direction, just in my opinion.
Hopefully the sequel is Remus. And what happened b4 Romulus
lol Disney
Anyone else thinks he said "live action" as a possible hint we maybe will be getting an animated predator movie? Adult animation has become more successful… If its done right i would live it.
Itd be cool if the predators had gotten wind of humans dicking with the black goo. Their species knowing all too well about the engineers and their bio experiments/weapons while being relentless with their compulsion to destroy everything engineer related. So they track the ship from the end of romulus while unaware that an engineer is doing the same as they no likey when someone starts playing with their toys. this forces the humans and predators to work together to take down the engineer and his tech.
Or not and maybe another 90 lb girl from the stone age will triumph over ….
So long as the predator isnt trying to steal autism im in
They could have rain and Andy land on Hadley's hope during the initial outbreak and somehow escape before the Marines arrive
Yes because the relationship of two sisters is “groundbreaking” the movies gonna be bad just off of that little bullshit comment, nobody cares about what you have to say about the movie, it’s how the movie actually is that matters.
I agree with everything, specifically that the franchise is on solid footing. It's been sooooo long
With these new films, Alien 4 is legendary. If Nolan or Bloomkamp don't tackle the series, it will be a downward ride. Well, unless some new talented filmmaker comes along.
Calling it now!! Just based on what Scott has said so far, the Romulus sequel will also be the conclusion of Covenant. Its obvious really.
OMG! I know the Offspring was supposed to further morph into a xeno, but I saw they actually left some of this in the movie. After Feeding on Kay, his tail grows! I totally missed this.
I hope they cast Mary Elizabeth Winstead 🤞🏼
If it was me, the next Alien film would have nothing to do with Romulus, have it as someone else mess with the Aliens, we don’t need another Ripley, where the same person keeps getting dragged into fighting Xenos, show me a colony holding out against a Hive,
And my AvP idea was for it to be set after Aliens, so AvPv colonial Marines
My one hope is that Alien: Isolation's status as canon becomes more official, and that Amanda Ripley's adventures still take place around the time of Romulus and its sequel. Just more "same time, different place" stuff happening across the galaxy.
A further expansion of several franchises that technically are part of the Alien mythos and one that (as we have speculated before) isn't. The first introduction of soldiers from the "Soldier" movie 1998, and a crafting to include factual the movie "Outland" 1980. Each would complement the other franchises, adding more color to the universe. In particular, Outland would re-introduce the mgea corperation Com-Am. A little corporate sabotage, military might, and good old fashioned greed for the ultimate prize in the galaxy.
Well a New Aliens versus Predator movie with the United Systems Colonial Marines in the mix would definitely make me watch it. Elle Fanning’s new movie sounds really cool, the sequel to Romulus will be interesting when it eventually comes out.
AVP Sucks, not sure what executive keeps funding that crap.
So the predator movie "Badlands" with Elle Fanning will be like Prey, just with a blond thin girl beating the Yautja… I hope I am wrong. THAT would be nuts.
Yeah, that period when we didn't know if we'd ever get another Alien franchise film again was after Ridley Scott's last craptastic "prequel". Thankfully, Fede Alvarez saved the franchise and has opened the door for more franchise films, even if the price was legitimizing Scott's vapid "prequel" origin nonsense. Dan Trachtenberg has done the same as Fede Alvarez, but for the Predator franchise. Thank goodness there is still a decision maker, Steve Asbell, at Disney MegaCorp that emphasizes story over "wokeness". Its amazing he still has a job at the Activist House of the Psychotic Mouse.
I wanna see a Predator films where the Predator actually wins!
Think so many fans would like that.
Well, at least they’re giving fans options instead of alienating those who might not have liked or agreed with the direction the franchise. The beauty of the Alien and Predator IP’s is the antagonists are the real stars it doesn’t really have to be linear as you could have different offshoots, spin-offs and storylines kind of like an anthology series with different main protagonists in each Film or TV Series to potentially please all fans
I REALLY WANT THEM TO RELEASE THE “ FINISHED “ ALIEN VS PREDATOR ANIME “ they did for NETFIX In 2016 before the MERGER
ITS 100% complete it’s 8 or 11 episodes I forget how many … JUST RELEASE IT ALREADY
