You are so right about speed and excitement… so I'll try to correct this with my girl 😊 I love your explanation, thanks!!
Can’t wait to try this!
I have been putting off teaching the reverse weave because I am lazy but it is winter and my girl needs things to do. We are starting today at the park, it will be mostly deserted because of the cold. We have the figure 8 move down pat at stationary and when I step off she continues to weave now I want to teach it in reverse. She has known the pot lid exercise since she was about 6 months old. I don't even say anything and I have taught her the game of "cha cha" which means she targets my left foot in heel position, including backing up and turning. Eventually I hope to combine it into our kind of free form activity routine that we have developed where we heel weave and play the stationary position change game more or less fluidly. continuously
luv your videos, you explain it very well how to do it so we can teach our dogs. your my favorite you tube trainer. my 18 week old border collie is coming along nicely. thanks again for sharing from down under Australia
I love a trainer with dogs that backup their training, I heard about you on another channel by accident, that I don’t subscribe to, very awesome, you have a new subscriber, I’ve been watching your videos, I think we live in the same city. Thank you for this amazing channel.
Sorry but that's not weaving.
Is it a border collie?
Thanks again
I taught this to one of my BCs but what if you ave a dog that doesn't lure backwards easily (specifically when facing away from you)? My other dog learned how to back away from me but this one he still hasn't caught on to yet. And we've been working at it for months…
Love it thanks.
Looks like fun, I will have to train me first, lol
What do you do with her shedding? When I get her between my legs her hair is all over me even when I brush her 3 times a day!😒
Amazing Kikopup!!! Im a fan of yours!!! Great job!
Do you eventually pair a new single command after you pair the other two together?
Miss Kikopup, you really made it easy. We got it down. Thanks a lot.
Hit a glitch. My young BC will do the back behind on both sides and loves to come through to the front and then do a back behind, however when I try to move to the last step where they go backward between your legs he flips around to come through facing front. Any suggestions?
This is fabulous! My girl is very good with weaving, but this would be fun for her to learn and add to her repertoire! Thanks!!
Awesome!! ♥
Hey Emily, it's Sara (and Ranger too!). Nice video. Going to go practice this. It's the one trick that has stumped me. Thanks!!! Write when you have the chance (namastek9s@gmail.com). Come to Utah; we'd love to have you!
My dog knows the trick to go between my legs then walk on my feet with me. So whenever I ask her to go between my legs she thinks we are doing that trick. How do I get her to wait for a signal that it’s something else?
I have been struggling with how to teach this and your video was perfect…. My young BC got foundation of the backward weave very quickly after I watched your video and knew how to build on skills he had like the pivot dish. THANK YOU once again for your excellent help videos.
Oh my thank you!! I have had problems with my dog backing when Im behind her❤ Bless~
Yay your back ❤
