Samsung is preparing to launch the Fold7 and Flip7 with bigger displays in 2025, but it seems like the Korean company is gearing up towards a major leap after them.
According to Ross Young, CEO of DSCC, we are going to see a tri-fold Galaxy smartphone in early 2026.
Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, the only tri-foldable on the market currently
The announcement came on social media, where the display supply chain consultant shared his inside info in a reply to yesterday’s report. Samsung is not planning a tri-fold display for 2025, and it seems like the company will concentrate on gaining back its lost market share.
A tri-fold smartphone is a whole new challenge, and Huawei is the only company so far managing to manufacture a market-ready product, even if quantities are limited.
We expect Samsung to launch the new product in early 2026 as a pre-response to the rumored foldable iPhone that may or may not arrive in September 2026. However, that’s still a while away so obviously plans might change.
