iQOO 13 vs Realme GT 7 Pro Performance Test: Which is Faster?

While both phones promise to deliver the best performance, you might be wondering: Which phone is actually faster? To find out, we compared the Realme GT 7 Pro to the iQOO 13 in a series of benchmarks and games to determine the fastest Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphone.

iQOO 13 vs Realme GT 7 Pro: Benchmarks

Before we start the test, it’s important to note each phone’s specifications. The Realme GT 7 Pro has the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. While the iQOO 13 also has the 8 Elite chip and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, it has 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

In the first AnTuTu benchmark test, the iQOO 13 scored an impressive 2,782,042, slightly outperforming the Realme GT 7 Pro’s 2,687,753—a 4% difference. However, this isn’t the whole story. If we look at the CPU temperatures, the iQOO 13 reached a soaring 53 degrees Celsius, while the GT 7 Pro maintained 45 degrees. Furthermore, on five subsequent runs of the AnTuTu benchmark, both devices settled around the 2.6 million mark with no significant heating issues.

Moving to Geekbench, I observed no heating issues on both phones. The iQOO 13 scored 3,054 in the single-core and 9,557 in the multi-core tests, while the GT 7 Pro posted 2,997 and 9,057, respectively. This 2%-7% performance gap remained consistent through five subsequent runs, sometimes widening and sometimes narrowing.

Finally, regarding the infamous 30-thread 30-minute throttle test, we do see some discrepancies. During the test, the iQOO 13 throttled to 67% of its peak performance, while the GT 7 Pro went to 56%. Although this difference might seem like a lot, it’s worth noting that the GT 7 Pro remained comfortably warm throughout, whereas the iQOO 13 became too hot to the touch.

While most people will never run five subsequent benchmarks, most do love playing games. To help find the gaming champion, we tested BGMI, CODM, and Genshin Impact on both smartphones.

Starting with BGMI, I immediately noticed a difference in-game settings. The iQOO 13 supports Smooth + Ultra Extreme (120FPS), while the GT 7 Pro is limited to Smooth + Extreme+ (90FPS). Despite this, gameplay on both devices was smooth, with excellent visuals, stable frame rates, and no signs of overheating, even after a two-hour session.

Furthermore, both include AI frame interpolation technology, enabling BGMI to run at 120FPS on the GT 7 Pro and 144FPS on the iQOO 13. However, I didn’t notice any visual difference between the two.

In CODM, both smartphones maxed out the game’s settings, delivering a steady 60FPS without needing AI frame interpolation. The gameplay was incredibly smooth, the visuals were crisp, and there were no signs of overheating.

I observed a similar case in Genshin Impact, where the GT 7 Pro and the iQOO 13 performed really well, even better than the iPhone 16 Pro, delivering a stable 60FPS. However, both devices did warm up slightly after an hour of gameplay.

Which is Better?

Ultimately, crowing one phone over the other is pretty difficult unless you run synthetic benchmarks every day. For a normal person, metrics like the UI, animations, and app opening speeds matter more; in this regard, the iQOO 13 and the Realme GT 7 Pro are leveled.

Even in gaming, aside from the current BGMI limitation on the GT 7 Pro (which Realme promises to address in a future update), I couldn’t see a noticeable difference between 120FPS and 144FPS. So, if you’re a casual gamer who enjoys playing with friends in your free time, both the Realme GT 7 Pro and iQOO 13 are excellent choices.
