An interesting piece of copium for why they’re using generations assets could be that you’re replaying stages because sonic, tails, and Amy all lost their memory, so you have to replay the stages to bring those memories back, and for me, I think that as long as they can figure out an actually good reason to use old stages that works with the story, then it will be good enough for me to overlook, but it’s still disappointing

I feel like the game would not be that fun at the first 10 hours, and as you upgrade Sonic, you get this feeling of power and real freedom. Then you could enjoy the game. Honestly I'm hyped as fuck but l'y rational part is freaking out ngl

I just want to try the demo out myself, I want to see the other islands (to a point), and i want to see what abilities up you get in the skill tree and whether or not it effects how you traverse the open world. It’s just gonna feel wrong if there’s no spin dash to unlock in this skill tree. Wouldn’t mind unlocking it since the story already necessitates rebuilding Sonic from the ground up because amnesia.
If you notice tho, the critics who gave negative/mixed reviews are the ones who played it less time. So yeah, I think this game can be enjoyed to the fullest once you end the tutorial and begin to unlock things

I am actually thinking it's a good thing that the positive reviews are as high as it was, this is because a good amount of them play the game like they've never touched a controller in their life. Some of the leaked sky sanctuary level clips are a good demonstration, he was just jumping to his death.

The game would look a lot better if they used the 06 or unleashed model since he's taller and just looks better. One of my issues is the squash and stretch that they use on the forces model and in my opinion it looks shit. If sonic was taller like the other two models this wouldn't be an issue but izuka knows best right🤷🏽♂️
The 06 model is one of the best Sonic models especially for a game with a realistic environment

This games gonna be unleashed all over again. The games gonna be good but all the fans are gonna blast it to high hell. We’ll then never get a sonic game for a few years and that’s going to be a mediocre half assed forces and everyone’s gonna be complaining and holding that game up to Frontiers acting like they’ve always loved it just like they did with unleashed. The next few years is gonna be mediocre boost to win games because they won’t be arsed to put effort in. And why should they? We finally got an ok game yes there are valid criticisms floating about (the momentum, texture pop ins and stiff animations.) but we’re complaining about the littlest things. So what if his quills are 0.6inches small so what if the islands don’t look right for a sonic game. We had an amusement park in space I think at this point any semblance of realism in a sonic games gone out the window.
