I understand why people are defensive on how this game should be reviewed fairly. It took (for most) 4 years to wait. I had a immediate instinct that the game wouldn't be to my liking, and not worth the money. But i felt as though the time i spent waiting I should dedicate my time to playing.

Imo this is game of the year as far as story goes. The game is just so well written which is rare for gaming

If it wasn't rushed af at the end id give it a 10,ive 100% completed it btw but yeah the biggest event in norse mythology taking about a half an hour ? With the thor boss fight seeming more like a mini boss was a major let down as well as jormungander being sent back in time being downplayed despite how mimir framed it in 2018

They literally put two games in one halfway through the game they start dropping 2 hours of exposition on you with atreus then with kratos. 2 hours each and they keep going back and forth between the two characters and filling you in with a ton and I mean a ton of exposition where you just go from one place to the next because they're trying to fit two games in one. Because of this the game feels clunky uninteresting boring on top of that performance is horrendous and because you're running it at 30 FPS the animations were originally designed for 60. But because the game is running at a lower FPS the animations don't react appropriately so the game becomes sluggish clunky is the keyboard here very clunky the writing becomes melodramatic at a time at one point you want to kill the main villain but everyone is so emotional because of how Dylan has affected them emotionally like a bunch of f**** idiots that the one character who is incredibly angry at Odin walks right up and just straight up kills Odin everybody else including Kratos is looking at him like did he just do that. This is just f**** retarded as someone who used to be a professional games critic. When I played this game I played it on the hardest mode terrible idea don't do it but I'm telling you all now this story goes from being interesting to literally a melodramatic soap opera and not a good one Kratos is turned from the God of War to a father who makes a lot of good decisions but is really not utilized in the way he should be. The game really wants to push Free Will and choices but then halfway through the game ignores it and throws it to the side until the very end because it's all screwed up because they're fitting two games in one. It's a mass guys this game don't bind to the hype keep your money by the Callisto protocol or bendy in the dark Revival. And just stay away from this wait till it's at least $35 sale and don't waste your money it's just not worth it. And I for one I'm really disappointed. This is not what I was promised it is a complete wreck of a game the optimization alone I'm running it on a one terabyte SSD. I took my old drive out put a new Drive In so I can increase loading times and improve stability overall and I'm telling you now this game is virtually broken it won't even hold 25 FPS most of the time and there's been at least five patches it is a mess of a game it's really disappointing. And it really hurts me to say this because I really love this series sad

my only real complaint is that "give me god of war" didn't make me feel like a god of war

24 hours ? the man rushed it on easy mode and did a third of the side missions, what a fucking joke and a waste of a fantastic game

L Game, literally managed to make it worse than the first which is by far already the most overrated game of all time 😂

to put it simply gow is a movie game they want to tell a story witch is great other than that nothing else u play it ones u are done. combat is mid even story boss fights if get his health half u get a checkpoint and die u return full health full magic and beat him. the game hold ur hand all the way to the end to tell a story even the weapons have a similar move set as before the gear dont matter what u are wearing as long it high level than an enemy . im playing on the highest setting

That “same game” bullshit is so played out, the only games that can really apply to is sports games and COD games. And even then those games aren’t the same. Twitch chatters will hopefully find out what “categories” are, because most games fall into a certain category.
