iPhone SE 4 is coming soon; here are the latest rumors

Apple is reportedly set to launch the iPhone SE 4 in just a few short months. The update will bring a dramatic overhaul to Apple’s most affordable iPhone.

A new supply chain report this week has some additional details on what to expect from the iPhone SE 4’s camera hardware.

According to ET News, LG Innotek will supply the modules for the front and rear cameras on the iPhone SE 4. The report says the iPhone SE 4 will have a 48MP camera on the back and a 12MP TrueDepth camera on the front.

This rumor aligns with what 9to5Mac exclusively reported in October. At the time, we explained that the iPhone SE 4 would have the same Main camera and front-facing camera as the iPhone 15. The only difference is that the iPhone SE 4 will not have an ultra-wide lens on the back.

Using the same 48MP camera sensor on the iPhone SE 4 gives Apple flexibility in marketing the new device. For example, Apple will likely use the 48MP sensor to say that the new SE can take photos with 2x “optical” zoom.

Other rumored specs for the iPhone SE 4:

• 6.1-inch OLED screen with Face ID
• USB-C for charging and data transfer
• The first device with Apple’s 5G modem
• A18 Chip with 8GB of RAM
• Action button

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to be announced in early 2025. The biggest unknown at this point is the price. Currently, the iPhone SE starts at $429 with 64GB of storage. At least one rumor has said the new model will start between $499 and $549.
