Whats with the video??? its not loading anymore
A PC game with an absurd budget behind it, lacking what it promised and is super buggy? Peeps were ahead of their time in AAA game business.
This game seems like having a potential bigger thant daggerfall, but well… big dreams but also big transitors with small thecnology, Even so the games are still just promise newdays, wanna be big but all broken and bad desing.
Wow this looks cool to me, but I'm not the one playing it.. had they come out with a polished product in 6 months they would have been in the history books.. literally what I see looks cool but I'm not playing it so I can't tell you it's cool, you might say there's bugs and demonstrate a glitch on the screen but I'm not experiencing it… I'll just avoid the headache and take your review as the gospel
To think this game had been released the same year as Baldur's Gate. Interplay managed to go from the worst Dungeons & Dragons game to the best Dungeons & Dragons game within the span of a single year. Top 10 Anime Redemption Arcs.
I was impressed by the game's engine for the year that it was made until you said that that was 1998, not 1993.
It looks like interplay saw dagger fall and was like that but cheap
This was probably the biggest disappointment of all my gaming experiences. It was the first game I ever bought for my new PC back in January '98 (bought it actually at the same time), and I was totally stoked. Boy, what a let down. It was just one glitch after another!
Thank you for these great videos.
8.5 years late, but out of curiosity, did you ever try extracting the raw video file(s) themselves off the CD instead of trying to play them in-game, using VLC or FFMpeg or something?
8:53 Now releasing games in that state is the norm, they have gigantic companies and budgets behind them. We call them AAA titles, and they're shoveled out to the ignorant masses who eat them up.
That toilet paper gag is a milestone of this channel
People who hate 'grinding' in games today know nothing of it, from the looks of things you have to grind on every wall in this to find all of the hidden places. You would have thought they would make the wall do something subtle, instead of relying on you to divine where they all are.
Fail! 5:14
if someone patched this then made a VR Oculus Quest 2 version, it would be awesome. Same for Ultima Underworld games. I really want those in VR.
9:25 way to describe the way I was raised, lmao.
why not just play daggerfall lmao
This was the first game that disappointed me so much I thought I must have made some mistake at install
(walking up non existent stairs)
This game feels like an inferior Daggerfall clone. (1:51, 5:13)
I love the Baldur's Gate inn music at the end of the video.
Notification Squad! 🙂
The cover art was used for the D&D novel Spellfire by Ed Greenwood as well.
