Clarification: pH can only be measured in water-based solutions and superacids are explosive/not soluble in water, so it doesn’t make sense to place them on a PH scale and instead we should use the Hammett Acidity Function (H0). That being said, we can and do typically derive negative pH from this function using the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation which makes H0 equivalent to the pH values. This should have been explained further in the video.
Correction: Zeti Reticuli only being visible from the Southern Hemisphere is part of the plot, suggesting those on the Northern Hemisphere must have received this information from aliens or advanced means. Thank you, to everyone in the comments who pointed this out.

Doesn't Ash state during the 1st Alien movie that when examining the face hugger, it 'was shedding its cells and replacing them with polarized silicon'?
The alien is the jew
“Earthly human veins” we know your a Q from Star Trek
Love me some younger dryass
I would like the source for Göbekli Tepe carvings depicting an impact that caused the Younger Dryas.
What I didn't like about Alien.
They know there is a nasty ass kicking hungry acid squirting multi toothed double jawed critter with no sense of humour waiting for it's chance to rip you to shreds. So, let's go get it. Split up, we'll cover more ground! Oh, and don't bother switching the lights on and wasting electricity, Ed Milliband might be watching!!!
What is more terrifying if you look through Darwin's book of evolution you will find a creature that looks exactly like a Facehugger😮
The only problem, which happens to be the biggest one, all these physiology are based on earthly creatures. It's not necessary outer world follows the same biology or physics.
I hope everyone realizes this is not real and pure fantasy…
Aliens are like literally squirrels! Compared to the monster here on Earth called Humans!
Science fiction movies and books are not written to provide answers for traveling the speed of light … on the contrary … that burden belongs to the scientists
There fallen angels
c'mon man. FTL travel is a given in the Alien universe. Just because they don't explain it doesn't mean it isn't there. They don't explain anti-gravity or a lot of other things. The movies aren't about that, they're about monsters.
Why I love Alien is just that you can't say it doesn't exist. If the universe is infinite, it has to happen somewhere.
I always find it funny they call face huggers that name. They not hugging bro.
Great vid! Alien(s) is still my favorite franchise.
This deepdive changed nothing about that!
The acid blood had TWO purposes. One: to make the facehugger impossible to cut off. Two: to make it impossible to shoot the Xenomorph as the acid could cause a hull breach. It was a very effective plot device.
AVP Extinction brought me here.
I would be scared if I would be mouse.
I mean… our stomach hold our acid in… 😂😂
Did he quote the ants and their ability to squirt acid too? After i read the bernard weber books i immediately thought about alien!😅
the new alien movies are dogwater.
Anyone know what the song is at 8:00? It’s got great atmosphere!
music is to loud to hear your voice
I found "Life" alot scarier then alien

Interesting to listen to the thinking behind your commentary but most of the anomalies are simply explained…. It’s a story, it’s made up. I agree that the “why nots” are important ,but it’s still just a story. I enjoyed Mr Toads adventure in the motor car, but I never worried about him running me over.
Close up on sigourney weaver “what’s the most terrifying creature you can imagine?” Me: “yes, a woman”.
Could u do halo or destiny?
this will probably get buried in the comments, but here is my opinion, given the context, we know this xenomorphs are from outer space or a planet we really know nothing about. This also makes us question the nature of this creatures but also from what we can see we know they are very predatory and all they care about is feeding and reproducing. Considering the nature of a typical predator we can say that this creatures have to survive in very harsh conditions and due to that they have to adapt pretty quickly to whatever they are faced with and with this theory we can denote why they are very quick to evolve or grow faster than we can imagine, if xenomorphs have a high adaptability rate, they can easily manifest in humans or any life form possible and i dont want to come off as insensitive to reality they might face such as external conditions but as i mentioned earlier they may have survived in harsh conditions. their bodies or internal systems may have been built to survive on as little food as possible when faced with a situation of scarce feeding and also quickly gather as much resources as possible when a prey comes in contact or when they have a chance to feed. and from this theory we can see why they have to reproduce as quickly as to keep the suurvival rate as high as possible. they are natural predators and predators as we know only have two goals, eat and reproduce and also prevent been eaten which makes three goals but that is only when faced with the challenge of another predator. thats my think piece on this, i would love to hear any thoughts on this.

Dude those are the scariest beings on tv
i think alien franchise use faster than light travel tech as ripley in second movie expected to be back from long mission for daughter bday?
Movie was hella mid
If we venture so far off to a distant world, we are the scary threat.
2001 did gas giant moons back in the 1960s
Watching SOA and realized we’re the real monsters.
You’re assuming they showed ancient humans in the sky. Might’ve shown them a hologram like we see in the engineer ship
Unemployed Friend on Thuesday:
I WANT COLONIAL MARINES.
Excellent terrifying scientific overview
Telfon was made by Dupont by accident when leaving paint inside a gas tube overnight. So my question is, has Teflon been found elsewhere?
Watching this reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:
“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.”
– H.P Lovecraft
Yeah, the whole "this already exists in nature, therefor possible" falls apart when considering that those animals evolved with eachother around, and needed quite a bit of time to get that kind of reproduction. No way a complete alien organism could just throw in human into its lifecycle like that. As a possible food source? Sure, if our bodies happen to contain the nutrients they need and they are lucky enough that none of our biochemistry is poisonous to them (A strong possibility for something that evolved on a different planet.). Used as incubators for their parasitic larva? More then likely their ovposition method will simply fail in the first place, then there is the option of their larva getting killed by our immune system if it did not just die outright for not getting the exact nutrients they would need.
i never understood why the narrative is that the xenomorph is the perfect organism.. all they do is kill everyone 🤷🏽♀️
15:27 Looks EXACTLY like a woman's… Who came up with that Design… hmm…
