Sorry, I disagree. In my view there is no such thing as a 10/10 game. There is no perfect game. There are good games but nothing is perfect. As for God of War, everytime a new game is released, people say that it is "perfect". Yeah, I don't think so but that's my opinion. Having to drag an annoying kid around already is 1 point removed, minimum.
If you enjoy it, great. Enjoy the game. I just know that with each release of this franchise, there will be people who will say this is perfection and then talk about how the next builds on the previous and all of it's flaws.
It's not one of the best games ever made it is the best game ever made hands down.

What a beautiful piece of art to be able to play. Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Kratos will forEVER be so dear to me. I low key can’t believe that this is where we are now, ya know? From Kratos barely talking to now being someone, a Man, a Father. Someone who is changing. Who truly is working out ‘we must be better.’ Just…wow. I love these characters so much!! Oh I’m still thinking about things, ya know? What an honor to be able to see this.
Unpopular opinion…. The game was mediocre and repetitive, it literally did nothing to improve upon 2018… It was more citscenes and less gameolay, and the Atreus parts were uncalled for.. and Odin speaking like his from a 21 century new jersey dropping f bombs everywhere like a naive teenager was honestly trash.. the boss fight was so bad. This whole thing was more of a movie than a game

It's amazing. Buy definitely not perfect. Has really bad pacing issues. Being a certain character way to many times for me killed the pace. Plus end boss was to safe. And Kratos should of rip his head off. But yes incredible game . Amazing fun perfect combat so fun. More moments and qts which I love. From og god of war fan.

I enjoyed the game but it just doesn't reach as high as 2018. Now I have had some issues throughout the entire series. I have a some really critical issues with it actually. I hated the ending. I mean the boss fight is TRASH doesn't make sense how thor died. I love kratos but thor would've clapped him. Even tho kratos's fighting isn't optimal aswell. Thor fought Jormungandr, and then in an instant flies to kratos carrying him and throws him down. At the lodge, Then he proceeds to try to smash his hands together trying to damage me instead of actually flying around me throwing his lightning hammer at me. Thor has good fighting technique, now if he used the hammer in the fights it would be realistic. It's straight BS. Kratos has always been handicapped when it comes to discovering. There are so many ways they can make a game last long without him having to walk 1000 miles around one little rock when he's capable of lifting the nine realms and mountains and shit. TRASH. after you finish the game I don't want to discover shit and do some bs side quests with freya. And how they did brok and tyr so dirty. I don't want that faggot of a dwarf you first meet in vanaheim upgrade my stuff. Freya is so fuxking annoying in the first half of the game. Complaining about everything. And then atreus leaves us in the end. And also, Again I love kratos but the fanbase pisses me of sometimes. I mean he's a beast but 99% of the people he fights, he's not strong enough to take down on his own without getting upgraded by dwarfs building him the best they have and teaming up with other gods to kill them and then the fans say, oh kratos is the strongest no one can take him. I also hated what they did to Heimdal, i thought his character was so good and then the fight is way too easy after you hit him once.
My conclusion is. The game is for me a max 8/10
The only thing that could improve the game is a higher fov. Even 10 more degrees would be really helpful for all the children who can't handle the camera because they prefer the old games. Maybe those horrible players can finally figure out how to not suck
This game is a step backwards from the 2018 one. But they'll pay them off to win GOTY. Elden ring is better in almost every way.

Sony fans finally have something to get excited about after their PS5 (aka the PS4 upscale machine) has been collecting dust for the last two years. They're refilling their soy cups with their soy milk while bragging about 10/10s from the neck-bearded woke game "journalists" who are in Sony's back pocket. We used to play God of War. You soy consuming soybots play Dad of War so you can invest in some emotional feminist soy cutscene simulator.

Asgard is a joke, a very short assault on asgard, the plot resembles the usual far cry open world story, disney guy Atreus and his disney black female friend, no role of the real Tyr in the overthrow of Odin, Surtr behaves completely against the prophecy, i.e. artificial plot armor for the ending, a lot of unnecessary talk, poorer quality of dialogues, the camera is set less cinematically, an open ending made for the future milking of a branded cow.
What the game presents is not even a ragnarok, it's a selective treatment of mythology and marketing. Gow turned into disney-avengers like story…
It's good but I think the lack of good games coming out I can see why people think it's great it's more of a remake then a follow up 7 out 10 👍

This game wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't good nor nearly as well thought as the 2018 one.

Brok's death was kinda emotional, but not nearly as logical as it wanted it to be, I mean u have fucking Mimir there, the smartest man alive, and Brok is the one figuring out Tyr was Odin ? So stupid lol Thor's death, who cares? It was a shock value death imo, and not a good one at all, and who gives a shit about Freya's brother death? Lol the second half of this game was rushed and contrived as hell, and didn't deliver at all on what it promised, and the worst part, for me at least, was that other cultures weren't a part of this game, nor we got an answer on how Kratos got there. It's so sad to think on how hyped they made us last game with Athena's caneo and Tyr going to other cultures, and it all was for nothing, not mentioned again and not important at all for this story, which claims to be a farewell to the character of Kratos if I'm not mistaken. I definitely hope they do more games with Kratos and give him a proper ending, not a Marvel like adventure with no real consequences and a laughable bad ending.

God of Snore. Nothing more than an interactive movie. You walk and talk and solve boring puzzles and fight some bad guys. You get narrated to death. Hours worth of cutscenes. These games that focus on stories to get the players emotionally invested as first priority are trash. Stories used to be a way to set up the conditions of why you're doing what you're doing. It was always about the gameplay first. They're doing it backwards. It's the same thing as TLOU. There's no replay value. It's not fun. It's a slog to get through all of the dialogue and character building, etc. I don't care about relationships between characters in a fucking video game. I want to beat up bad guys, rack up combos and improve my arsenal without stopping so I can watch soy-filled emotional bullshit. The old GoW games shits all over this
