Samsung has apparently confirmed to Korean media that its Exynos 2500 production yields are improving, following a few months of struggles.
So, the company plans on equipping both the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the Galaxy Z Flip FE, which is also expected in 2025, with the Exynos 2500 SoC. That may of course prove rather controversial, seeing as how the Exynos chipsets’ reputation hasn’t been amazing over the past few years.

It’s interesting that the report says nothing about the Galaxy Z Fold7 – so maybe there’s a chance it could be using a Qualcomm chip instead. And that would make sense since the Fold line is the more enthusiast-focused of Samsung’s foldables, whereas the Flips are more mass-market oriented and style-focused. So if this wild speculation of ours pans out, it might be that the company doesn’t want to offend the enthusiasts with its choice.
The Exynos 2500 was supposed to debut in the Galaxy S25 series in January, but the yield problems encountered so far have meant Samsung had to switch to Qualcomm for those models, the report goes on to state.
