I beat Callisto Protocol…

Make no mistake this is an action game! Not a single time did I get jump scared or was I hesitant to go into a room. It's hard to be afraid when you can destroy 95% of the enemies with your melee weapon lol NOT a bad thing I'm not complaining but a Necromorph from Dead Space get's up close to you you're gettin F'd up. Dead Space is WAY more scary. They treat your inventory in this game like it's a survival horror game & it's super annoying. You have little decoder's you have to collect to sell at the store for upgrades & they take up an inventory space! Plus you have to carry like 5 diff ammo types so I was constantly droppin shit I needed so I could sell the decoders at the store in exchange for points to buy shit. Yeah super aggravating. I was just reminded of this playing the PS5 version before bed. Sorry for the limited gameplay clips but the PC game capture looked 10 times more stuttery than the actual game so I didn't bother. Ironically I played on PC for better gameplay capture for this review. Oh & btw if you're wondering how I can like this better than God of War when I gave GOW a 9 & this an 8.5 it's because I would never deduct points just cause something goes against my preference. I hated most of what I played of Elden Ring but objectively still gave it an 8. If this game had melee combat as tight as God of War & more frequently this could have been a 10 out of 10! Dodge more like Last of Us 2 & no lock on when an enemy is transforming & you got solid gold. Would have been cool to have runic attacks like god of war too that have to recharge. Like a giant knife that can clean slice an enemy's head off or a thruster pack in your bad ass suit that sends you flyin into an enemy & blows it to bits! Love the game though & thanks for watching.

The DLC that came later, called "the Last Transmission", is actually great. It greatly expands on the story. It picks up exactly where the original campaign has ended, but it adds a ton of cool moments. You get a new extremely powerful weapon, and there's stealth areas, and riot areas, a new type of enemies that will test you, an "environmental" toy to use with your telekenisis, a few nice puzzles, and a new final boss!…..This is a great expansion, and much harder than the original game!

You should play this game now that they have the final transmission and they have dismemberment mode and severe Gore mode. Lol it’s very fun I’m still playing the damn game.

Love your review. Definitely disagree with all the stupid reviewers who convinced me NOT to buy the game. never going to listen to them again. I typically dont and did buy Gotham knights last year and loved it, but for some reason, didnt feel the need to buy callisto. Gorgeous graphics, very satisfying melee combat, and sound design. it has some issues but what game doesnt. And yes, its 12 hours of constant action and no bullshit loki sections or dream sections where kratos walks around with his wife for hours.
Anyway, even though i got it on PS+ for free, i decided to pull a Solidrev and bought the game on PC to support the devs and people who make these kind of old school games.

I like the game, but is has the same issue as GOW Ragnarok and Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Way too many squeeze through, crawling and crouching sections.
You can also only carry very little ammo, health etc.

Just beat dead space remake and thought it was cool but was like alright I did this already multiple times. Two hours into this game and damn I’m enjoying it more kinda lol

Rev: Normally I watch as soon as you post but this time I started watching and took your advice and I finished before watching the whole thing. I did look at the reviews prior to playing this and I let them negatively impact my opinion. I’m a 47 year old man and thought I was immune to that shit but it happened. I just booted it up on Tuesday evening and beat a second time on new game plus “ recently released “ on maximum security difficulty. I fing loved it. The storm that rages in the stratosphere as you first go out side is why I play video games. I just wanted to say good work keep it up and that I’ve learned my lesson, if you love it I pretty sure I will too. Thanks again.

I loved the length too, I beat it in about 11 hours and it was perfect for me!

Just got the platinum trophy. Loved this game!! I know it has flaws but I still really enjoyed it! I just don't understand how people can give it like a 3 or 4!? My boy Angry Joe hated it, I was like wtfffff Joe it's a good game man cmon.
