This is THE BEST Documentary ever!!!!!!!! Rod Sterling is an Awesome Narrator. Takes me back to when I was 8. I couldn't get enough of all these types of shows about Ancient Astronauts, Aliens, UFOs and other mysteries.

One major point about the Mayan calender, if you look at our galaxy as a whole then the Mayan calender is literally based on the orbit of our solar system around the milky way center, super massive black hole. Thus it is even more technically advance then any other calender in history as they limit ther view to the solar system rotation……. and I'm pretty sure the orbit of our solar system around the milky way galaxies is about 24,000 years (based on our solar year) thus the Mayan calender never ends, you are just beginning a new rotation ….. prime reason why Mayan calender was used as end of the world proof when anyone who knew what it tracked and how it tracked knew its would just begin another cycle

Basically, a TV repackaging of the 1970 German theatrical release "Chariots of the Gods?", tightly re-edited and lent additional gravitas by a less-dated and annoying soundtrack, and narration by the fabulous Rod Serling. If you want to spend an idle hour or so speculating on Von Daniken's theories, this is the way to go.

Too bad Georges Delerue didn't get credit for the great music , lifted from his superb score from the John Frankenheimer film, "The Horsemen". Soundtrack album was released on the Sunflower label; Delerue was the greatest composer since Beethoven!
