As someone who just bought the game it feels very very crappy to wait until the semi-end of the game to have the spindash…
Update 3 will be coming soon on this game and will be able to play as
Tails💛
Knuckles❤️
Amy 💖
Sonic sounds fun but I'm kind of waiting for it to come to game pass
Sonic frontiers is already, by far, my best 3d Sonic game, and although it's not the best open world I (or anyone) played, it'll always have a special place in my heart for it accomplished something no other open world game could. What you do the most in an open world game, like 80% of your playthrough will be just that, is being FUN for the first time in the history of open world games: Moving around… And i haven't even tried the dlc yet!
I just hope the add momentum physics to truly complete the speed and movement of Sonic
Honestly the best thing I'd love for them to do. IS JUST ADD ONLINE(and local) MULTIPLAYER. cyberspace racing, open world interaction, combat, titan fighting.
I now know what I'm going to spend my time on after I finish Tears of the Kingdom… even if I already beat the game. Chili Dogs!
So much time wasted instead of working on what actually most players want deep inside… Races on the open world and playable characters… (and personally to remove the invisible wall that separates the 1st and last island)… byt geee how long have I waited to gdind on a candy corn rail… God damn it…
Regarding the spin rol/dash mechanic upgrade, its a welcome addition but I dislike it due to the fact that the maps are so small.
I think the desert one is the only one in which it works
I hoping and praying Supreme and The End boss fights are actually made better and are actually hard
Tbh the game is desepointing, the gameplay is too easy with an ugly world
This is basically Sonic in the Phantasy Star open world universe with rollercoaster bars and parkour stunts all around the map.
Chunk of these update's content should've been in the base game Day 1. Rubs me the wrong way. Feels like part of this game's Day 1 launch feels rushed and unfinished and this is why this game should've been delayed. And even with the updates so far, they haven't fixed our biggest criticism towards this game and that is the pop-in. From Sonic Origins Plus being a scam to Sonic Superstars having microtransactions and now this! I thought Sonic Team and Sega made a big breakthrough with Sonic. Seems like Sega can't do jack shit with this series anymore.
God saveeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssseeses..
Jeez why does it still look so incomplete
My kocos are eggs for some reason
We need a playable tails!
Still need the boss fights to be replayable
The best way to do the open zone challenge is to turn on easy mode, it lowers the point requirement if you just want the spindash and dont care about score
Mother and jeff update 4 will be like one use new feautre some new playalbe plus use up last female charcher sonic get along blase the cat more then amy any glitches invode save system and boss battle will close or 100% patch up fewer work son of glitch dud uncude pervent story mode
If only the fixed the save system
11:22 fin.
where is the animation at 5:35 from?
Ain't no way I'm getting s rank to unlock that lmao oh well
I say yes it's the best update yet 😁 love this update so much and WE FINALLY HAVE MOMENTUM IN THIS GAME! LETS GOOOOOOOOO!!! 😁
Sonic frontiers just doesn't feel great to me. I don't think they've managed yet to convey the enjoyment of sonics movement and attacking moves in 3d. They still feel super jankey and just 'off'. The attacking in particular which has just been copied and pasted from other sonic 3d on rails games. It just feels waaaaay too jankey, simplistic and like your playing a kids game.
Like mario is all about the clever platforming, sonic is all about fast moving fluid movement.
Why do the makers of sonic insist on making every single enemy so that you bounce off them multiple times, stopping the flow of movement and making it so jankey and awkward.
In the original sonic games, for low level enemeys that didn't have spikes on there backs, you would flow and spin your way through a level and jump and spin into these enemies and if you hit them in the right place sonic would carry on going, he does do this odd jankey bouncing off of them. They only did that for the bosses in the originals. And why is the spin dash not available from the get go? It's a bloody funsementle move. It's like locking Mario's ability to jump. Stupid.
Just make sonic 3d like the originals but in 3d!
I also don't like the sparse looking open but boring islands. There's more going on in the bloody 2d originals than these islands.
I don't know what's so hard. Get the basics right. Use the traditional levels ideas but do them properly. Make them packed with fun flowing sections, make them colourful, make them detailed and add gameplay mechanics to completing things in this 3d space.
I assume the green islands are a 3d reimagining of the first couple of sonic 2d levels but look at them. The originals are bright, colourful, packed full of pipes and jumps and low level enemies to hit along the way, the island in sonic frontiers is bland, dull colour palet, raining for god sake, vast open areas of nothing, full of enemeys you have to do this wired jankey hit and bounce off thing multiple times to defeat them.
I want a super mario 3d world or mario galaxy or mario odessey of the sonic universe, built and designed on what made the originals so fun in the first place! It's not hard! It infuriates me.
Sonic has never been about this kind of bland relaxing gameplay. It's about fast movement, speed, something to spin up or round or off every few meters, few flowing level design with enemies that were able to flow through if you hit them correctly, trying to not miss a gap or an enemy spike or a special ability or a secret area as you speed through the level at speed. It was intense, exhilarating, and felt amazing when you the jumps and spins just right as you speed through the level.
Yet sonic frontiers they think people want some relaxing slow paced tranquil experience. It's not sonic!
I do own sonic frontiers as it's the best of a bad bunch of 3d sonic games, and I do have an urge to play sonic evey now and then, but it pisses me off how developers can get it so bloody wrong for so bloody long!
"Even without wings, I can still fly!"
Been thinking of getting the game but the open world looks dead and boring. It's just sonic there, no one walks, no trees, etc. It just looks dead.
I still think they should make the game more colorful and add some more enemy's in the open zone. All this is great tho.
How did you do that ground pound attack at 4:46? I've never seen it before nor have I used it
I got the game on release and forgot to complete it so when I logged on today I finally finished it and noticed an extra cutscene after the credits anyone else see it?
Kishimoto is doing great. I'll pick up this game for sure. Few more updates, this game will be perfect and ready.
Momentum was welcomed. The "spindash" was disappointing.
Wtf is even that girl aliens art style? It looks terrible. Like it supposed to be from splatoon or some other goofy game, it's just so out of place. Everything's got tentacles, I see the Japanese still love that stuff.
