Now that you’ve got the first 3 skills established, it’s time to plan the rest of your training: Your Complete Puppy Training Schedule By Age
https://youtu.be/hpb7-dbjVSU
Thanks for watching!
That is lot of training treats. Do we need to feed puppy his regular two time food?
Thanks Kayl. Very helpful.
We got our new mini dachshund at 8 weeks old. The first day she was here she learned to use the doggy stairs. The second day I taught her to sit. Two days later she followed the other dogs through the dog door. Ive recently taught her to twirl and down and now she’s practicing ‘stay’. Puppies are so easy to train! She’s also A++ at coming when I call her.
I just got a 7 weeks mini dachshund. What is the perfect time that I can start training her?
What is this cuteness of a doggo??
Haha! I was listening to this with my 11 week old puppy sleeping next to me- when she heard you said "Sit, sit…" she just popped up into a "sit position!" Guess she wasn't as asleep as I thought!
That dog is is the definition of adorable.
Really appreciative of videos like this.
Thank you! Our ccpdt training class says we shouldn't have our dogs wearing harnesses because it encourages pulling. I only use the collar in class but on my own i usually use a harness and our pup pulls sometimes but she's only 4 months old, she's still learning everything.
So excited! I’m adopting a 5 month old on the weekend! I have no idea what he knows if anything. I’m looking to buy your course would you suggest the 4+ month course? Or should I check the puppy one out too in case
This is incredibly helpful! Love the pro tip! Love how there was a note about how Kayl refocuses the pup!!!!!!
What kind of reward treats do you all use?
Y’all make some of the best and most helpful dog training videos. Thank you!
It is SO helpful watching an amateur like me do the training!! Of course the trainers make it look so easy, but us owners are learning too
Thank you for sharing what a new puppy owner & puppy look like as they learn together. Great video!
I have asked this question on different site with no answer. Should I be training using a collar or with a halter? When do use one or the other?
These are great puppy things, can I use the same/similar techniques to 2-year-old dogs who haven't had training before???
My pup is coming home at 8 weeks……we will be starting crate training right away but any other pointers?
Getting a pupper soon. These video's are fantastic bite size pieces of info. Thankyou from Co Durham UK.
Such a cutie!!!
He looks like my little terrier, Maltese mix down to his coloring. So precious!!
thank you
This is SOOOOOOOO helpful!!! My 12 week old mini schnauzer puppy is still very little, and I've been having such a challenging time luring him into down position. Going to implement these techniques right away.
My puppy nips my fingers if I have food. I try to work on sit but end up having to address the exuberant puppy teeth! How do I handle that?
Question. I’m in Florida and just reached out to a trainer to get me started training with my Kooikerhondje puppy. The first words out of her mouth were that she uses a E collar. I have grave reservations on using any E collar on a puppy and would like your thoughts on this practice. I’m just trying to get my little girl doing basic obedience. I don’t want to mess this puppy up for life.
Great video! Thanks for the advice !
What is the food that you are offering that keeps that puppy’s interest? My puppy loses interest in the treat that I am offering.
This is really great to see: a new dog owner learning how to train! Videos online make it look so easy, I’m glad to see that learning how to train takes time too! Thanks for sharing
What do you use for treats?
Aha!!! Boy, I sure have been doing it wrong…I won't be repeating ANYMORE!!
VERY valuable tips!!!
