The solar compas is the emotions of kenetik emotions true space
My disigns
Isaac what if we whear able to move by kenetik in space the same I do in gravety
Okay, Isaac, you've thought this through in way too much detail. When are you leaving for Triangulum?
I love 💖 this channel; 'only about the mass of Saturn', as if that's not much more than one tenth of a percent of the Sun
"Light" does have mass, you can't input kinetic energy without mass, as pushing lasers show and as Mr. Arthur should know. Light photons don't exist, em radiation(radio) is a wave as Schrödinger shows. The wave hitting a surface has kinetic mass proportional to the cycles(freq/sec) and amplitude.
what the hell is wrong with ur accent
Hmmm is it worthy than a car? Asked Gerald
Mariyah Mariyah i'm not the one Made transportation something holly
Answer BTR-V3
To actually travel the universe or interstellar you need to just do it: no infinitesimal time or distance. You do it and if you’re destroyed so be it.
You have come a long way from apologizing about your speech to definitely my favorite narrator thank you!
I think a Universe of Dyson Spheres wouldn't happen for the same reason we don't bulldoze National Parks
Cant deal with the voice
32:30 if you travel 2 million light years, even with frequent updates from home, you will be 2 million years behind your home in technology and presumably 2 million years behind your destination, giving them a 2 million year head start.
First stop the moon next Mars then to the edge of our home system then we should hopefully be ready to voyage to the next star
Third class accent
is that a cajun accent? no offence if im wrong. your voice is so clear and easy to understand.
My name is Isaac authoooor and I have a speech impediment
I think FTL is possible if you destroy space itself in front of your vessel and generate it behind your vessel. Preferably powered mainly using the energy gained by destroying space in front of you.
Given that space is actively expanding, it is clearly possible to generate more, and it happening in intergalactic space means it does not require insane energy inputs. We need to find out how, and also how to unmake it.
Future of Humans
—————————
The average existential span of a mammal species is about 2 million years. 99% of all the species that evolved on the Earth were extinct. So, humans will soon be extinct from the face of the universe. Though Earth may support life for another billion years or so, before its atmosphere is eroded away by Sun’s radiation.
Congratulations!!!!!!!
hey guys whats sfia mean here???
imagine a catastrophe happening in a Systemship, and a few million years later new intelligence evolves on the untouched zoo planet, industrializes and builds telescopes, just to figure out that their entire system is artificial, and hurling through the intergalactic void, with life as they know it barely protected from deadly radiation and dust-storms by aging, unmaintained shielding systems and structures.
So if you can create a gravity field just ahead of your ship, the faster you go the greater the mass so the more you'll be affected by the gravity field.
Carrot and stick kinda thing?
My god we are so alone and the universe is so unimaginably vast and the depth of time so infinitely deep. 2 million years journey. Imagine a thousand years. Now imagine a thousand of those. And double that. Words can’t express the sense of eternal insanity that entails.
#Amazing
Congratulations, Isaac! And thank you for your channel. Your content has always provided me with ideas and inspiration for my personal sci-fy writing. I don't publish or at least yet. But if I ever do, you will certainly get credit. Even today's episode gave me a good idea.
35:02 Isaac’s Presidential Announcement.
Man that sounds like a night to be at.
It is often said in science fiction generally that a project may only take some millions of years to complete in a galaxy, and the absence of these projects in our galaxy bespeaks a cryptic silence, which can't be explained (the Fermi Paradox). But might such projects now be underway, but are incomplete? If life started in our universe in approximately the same time, may we simply be too early? And if so, could we spot these mega projects in progress, somehow, even though they are not yet obviously complete?
How to f are we suppose to surpass the expanding universe 💩💀 thanks for the great content
Isn't it tragic how huge the distance between stars and galaxies is? Most likely we will never visit another galaxy and even very distant stars inside our galaxy no matter how technologically advanced we become.
Thank you . ( 2023 / July / 10 )
It takes light millions of our years to cross these distances. Humans are not going anytime soon.
Is there anyway you can convert the audio with AI to a voice without a speech impediment? I want to listen but have too much trouble keeping up due to auditory processing issues. Thanx!
And of course… this is the worst of all! IF (a major awful "if"!) you COULD go more or less the famous Speed O' Light, you still aren't really going ANYWHERE in this context! THOUSANDS of years to the galactic rim and back? TENS of thousands of years? SOME people on this Earth have like FIVE-YEAR PLANS, FIFTY-YEAR PLANS (we can't see them), a hundred-year plan would be novel i think, I'm not aware of any. Who can seriously discuss a THOUSAND YEAR PLAN? A HUNDRED-thousand year plan? We don't have a plan to create that plan!
?? Just came in here, it's my impression that (as far as anyone knew) the Milky Way WAS the UNIVERSE until about 1920, with Hubble. That's not very long to digest such a big idea, there were some major distractions in the 20th Century, too! Meanwhile here in MURICA we haven't even got around to being METRIC yet! Much yet being able to actually even DISCUSS the large-scale social organization to do ANY of the vast almost–impossible things that Isaac Arthur shows us such convincing pictures of! PEOPLE! It's a long way to MARS, much less to the Galactic Rim! I think: From Amoeba to Jet-fighter is about the same as from Jet-fighter to interstellar travel, and maybe that far AGAIN to Intergalactic travel?
