It's a standalone game with co op that has both battle roayle and Rouge like game mechanics. You jump in the map using the bird at 1:20 sec of this video then you have to survive within that area while a storm slowly consume the map. Then you get to choose what boss fight you want to fight after the end of the run.
I've been told it's going to be basically like a fortnite Battle Royale game but co-op versus PVE The blue thing is going to be the ring. I hope it's not true cuz that's severely dampen my enthusiasm for this

Looks like an asset flip for a quick buck, which made me think it was DLC. This is the first time I was not impressed by a Fromsoft game and felt it looked cheap. I don't understand the hype here.

Some people won't like this game because it's a different genre, it's not a soulslike, it's a roguelike. The combat pace is much faster and based on other roguelikes I've played, some builds can be very broken. It's hard at first because you need to unlock things first. If this game has a system where you can permanently increase your luck, you'll always get better weapons with each try, most roguelikes I've played are like that, so this one will probably be like that too.
edit: I personally prefer roguelikes over soulslikes
