Thanks for checking out the video! Did you see the mini Easter Egg in the thumbnail?? 🙂
The price is more than a used car. Get outta here. Looks great though lol
Thoughts on it after a year of use? It's very expensive for the larger version ($10k!) but I'm considering it if it holds up for a long time and improves there boardgame experience enough
This table looks great! I was thinking of getting a table of similar size but am concerned about the width. How do you like the width of the table, do you have problems grabbing things across it?
Great video! When I went to the manufacturer's website, I noticed they don't offer seating. I saw in your video at 1:38 that you are using computer chairs. Is that what you would recommend or do you have any recommendations for stylish/functional seating for dining room use?
How do you like the cupholders in the rail? I am working on table designs (going to build my own – I have a garage shop and experience in woodworking) – and trying to decide how to do the cupholders;
Any issues with people spilling their drinks while reaching to put them in the cupholders?
(an often reported issue of in rail designs).
There is side mount – (like mounting on the outside below the surface) – but a lot of people say those can "get in the way"
Just curious as to any thoughts – I know you have not had the table long (or at least since the video was published).
Also, you will want to remove the cup holders to make them easier to clean – after accumulating dust, debris, spilled soda etc over the years.
We got our Dresden this last February and absolutely love it! We ended up with an XL since it also serves as our family dining table as well. Danish Modern is a great choice and what we got as well. Interestingly, we found that we have played much more games now that we can leave them set up long term.
One tip on the cup holders, you can find them on Amazon in a variety of different colors and they are pretty cheap if you want to have other color options. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.
I was looking into this table for my new house. One concern I had was how spill proof are the dining table toppers? And also, does the topper fit right over the wood edge, in a way that it would crush components sitting in the inlets?
Aubergine (the colour) is what we call your eggplant! It's OH-burr-jeen x
Thanks for the review. Hope to see how you like it over time and how it's used. One question – was the table rock solid, mostly steady, wobbly? I had seen a review on BoardGameTables Jasper and it looked mighty wobbly for relatively heavy table.
Nice table, but can’t afford it.
I can only pray for the game table like this! Glad for you!
Wow, well this is fantastic news for you. And proof-positive that your playthrough videos are beginning to have the traction that they deserve. I've very proud of you both, for some reason!
And I love this table and the company. I'll have to take a deeper dive into their website and see if I can find something suitable.
Again, congratulations! 🙂
Question: How does the elevation screws support the inset? Is there additional support underneath for the center of the inset or is the inset strong enough that it won't bow in the center where there are no pins? Thanks!
What a beautiful table. Really pleased for you both that you were able to get it and happy gaming!
Congrats on the table! Looks very pretty. We are also looking into getting a gaming table. Do you know how much is shipping for one of these?
I noticed the rails seem a bit wider than other gaming tables. Have you played on any others and do you have a preference for the wider or narrower arm rests?
Congrats on the new table! I'd imagine the cup holders are removable for ease of cleaning.
Yall are officially gameboarders.
I specced this table out on the maker’s website and as shown including accessories it comes out to $6,100. WHAT!?!? That’s WILDLY OVERPRICED.
Tables that are at least as good as this (and some, in my opinion, better) can be had for significantly less than half that price. If you’re in the market for a gaming table, shop around.
Also:
That the rail system only comes in one color regardless of what color you order the table in is weird – really weird.
Strongly dislike that the cup holders and trays are permanently placed, forcing players to use them “as-is.” Other makers offer accessories that attach to the rail and can be moved and grouped as the player wants – much better.
Dog-compatible 🐕
Wow, enjoy your new table! Beautiful!
What actually was the velt 'playmat' you used on you old table? That also looked pretty great.
Wyrmwood Prophesy has elevation capability but at 3x the cost
What I dislike about Gaming tables is that the Are usually huge, beefy, chunky and often straight-Out ugly. I like modern, Light-weight furniture. I thought a lot about ways to make a modern looking gaming table.
This one goes into the right direction, it looks modern and sleek. I still don‘t like it, that the wood grain goes across the table and not along it, that‘s the nature of the leaf system.
Beautiful! I hope (and kind of know) you will both really enjoy it for years!
Good things come to good people! So happy–not jealous–for you guys. Not jealous.
Yay! Upgrade!
