I got my new companion a few days ago. (She's a little over a month) It's insane how quickly she just trusts me and allows me to care for her. She's feels so comfortable that she legit runs rampant around the place (mostly my room, tho 😅). I'm glad I made the decision to take her in. My spirits have been extremely low for the past 5 years. Since cats are such routine animals, it obligates me to get off my butt and try to keep up with her. In a short amount of time that we've been together, I find myself going all over the house, gathering random things to make into toys, bedding, posts, etc. Legit came up with all kinds of ideas that would hopefully make her more comfortable and happy as she should be. ❤

This is really good to know, all kitties are so awesome and unique! We have several rescue kitties and love all of them. Hey, does anyone out there know that the "Humane" Society chops off a kitty ear when they spay/neuter them?! We were horrified and found out first hand that this is true when it happened to one of ours, I still can't believe it and am in shock. NO kitty deserves that, feral or otherwise and ours are all loving sweet cats–we NEVER would have taken her in there if we had known what they would do and feel so guilty. Please help stop this cruelty right now, tell everyone out there! If they feel they need to "identify" the animal later on they could do a belly tat when asleep, now that would be more humane. This is a terrible practice for them to continue, please help stop it now…your voice really matters!

So I have a cat that does most of this with a couple exceptions, and she seems very happy. A friend of mine likes her so he got his own cat and he says how mean it is. When I visited, the cat was not mean to me and when it was "mean" to him he would punish it like an abusive owner. I think the cat did something once to him out of confusion and his abuse has since made his cat unhappy and feel unsafe around him. He's constantly saying the cat nips at him but of the times I have visited the cat has not nipped me once. Maybe… bad owner?

Maine Coons are so different, that most of the above signs feel as if they are very unhappy. For example, my maine coon female loves to sit in a bathroom and wail so piteously as if she is in a grave distress (kitty litter is clean, she has just recently been fed, no health problems found by vet, etc), and would quickly switch to loud purrs, when someone comes to ask her what is wrong. My maine coon male also loves to go into another room to start loudly meowing in different tones, until someone comes to him, so he can stand on their lap and purr until rudely rejecting any pets and running away.
I got my cat yesterday for my birthday ❤ I’m 21 now and it’s my first cat ever. He’s so happy and he just joined me yesterday so I think he had a good life before and I plan to give him a good life for the rest of his life. I got very lucky with him, he doesn’t bite, scratch, and he’s good with my dog. (Although my dog isn’t good with him, terriers🙄) I’m not sure if he actually likes me bc he just joined me but I’m glad he’s nice to me ❤

My cannibal always sit at the end of my bed and sleep in a very deep sleep like you say I will sometimes go over there and just put my hand on him so he doesn’t go away quickly but later he will hop off and in a couple minutes he will go back on. He only goes to the end of the bed normally unless there’s something there. And the bed is my bed and I always let him sleep down there
