I have English bulldog x American bulldog. Best dog ever.
I swear I have a dog that is all three.. I'm confused
Didn’t this guy abuse dogs on his TV show 💀
The only man I listen to with my ears wide open..
What about a person who lived in cities and visits hometown village occasionally

Everyone who is thinking of getting dogs should read this because you need to understand this reality:
**I am a 21st century dog.**
-I'm a Malinois.
Overskilled among dogs, I excel in all disciplines and I'm always ready to work: I NEED to work.
But nowadays I get asked to chill on the couch all day everyday.
-I am an Akita Inu.
My ancestors were selected for fighting bears.
Today I get asked to be tolerant and I get scolded for my reactivity when another approaches me.
-I am a Beagle.
When I chase my prey, I raise my voice so the hunters could follow.
Today they put an electric collar on me to shut up, and you make me come back to you – no running – with a snap of your fingers.
-I am a Yorkshire Terrier.
I was a terrifying rat hunter in English mines.
Today they think I can't use my legs and they always hold me in their arms.
-I'm a Labrador Retriever.
My vision of happiness is a dive into a pond to bring back the duck he shot to my master.
Today you forget I'm a walking, running, swimming dog; as a result I'm fat, made to stay indoors, and to babysit.
-I am a Jack Russell.
I can take on a fox, a mean badger, and a rat bigger than me in his den.
Today I get scolded for my character and high energy, and forced to turn into a quiet living room dog.
-I am a Siberian Husky.
Experienced the great, wide open spaces of Northern Europe, where I could drag sleds for long distances at impressive speeds.
Today I only have the walls of the house or small garden as a horizon, and the holes I dig in the ground just to release energy and frustration, trying to stay sane.
-I am a border collie
I was made to work hours a day in partnershipwith my master, and I am an unmistakable artist of working with the herd.
Today they are mad at me because, for lack of sheep, I try to check bikes, cars, children in the house and everything in motion.
I am …
I am a 21st century dog.
I'm pretty, I'm alert, I'm obedient, I stay in a bag…but I'm also an individual who, from centuries of training, needs to express my instincts, and I am not suited for the sedentary life you'd want me to lead.
Spending eight hours a day alone in the house or in the garden – with no work and no one to play or run with, seeing you for a short time in the evening when you get home, and only getting a small toilet walk will make me deeply unhappy.
I'll express it by barking all day, turning your yard into a minefield, doing my needs indoors, being unmanageable the rare times I'll find myself outside, and sometimes spending my days sunk, sad, lonely, and depressed, on my pillow.
You may think that I should be happy to be able to enjoy all this comfort while you go to work, but actually I’ll be exhausted and frustrated, because this is absolutely NOT what I'm meant to do, or what I need to be doing.
If you love me, if you've always dreamed of me, if my beautiful blue eyes or my athletic look make you want me, but you can't give me a real dog's life, a life that's really worth living according to my breed, and if you can't offer me the job that my genes are asking, DO NOT buy or adopt me!
If you like the way I look but aren't willing to accept my temperament, gifts, and traits derived from long genetic selection, and you think you can change them with only your good will, then DO NOT BUY OR ADOPT ME.
I’m a dog from the 21st century, yes, but deep inside me, the one who fought, the one who hunted, the one who pulled sleds, the one who guided and protected a herd still lives within.
So think *very* carefully before you choose your dog. And think about getting two, rather than one, so I won't be so very lonely waiting for you all day. Eight or ten hours is just a workday to you, but it's an eternity for me to be alone.
Helpful info but can you give us examples for the front of the pack ?
Well done
Nice breakdown 👌 thanks!
We want a 1.5 energy, and a 2.5 lifestyle.
You should convert this to a graph, identifying applicable breeds for each category.
Do you have a video on how to choose at a shelter where we see one grown dog in a pen? How do we judge energy in that stressful environment?
Ceaser is so smart with his experience about pups/dogs before bringing them into your pack, home!
Hello my sister passed away unexpectedly and she left behind 2dogs but I can only take in one. I have been trying to find her a home but I'm having a hard time. I would like to know if you can please help me with finding her a home. She is about 9 yrs old, Bullmastiff/Boxer.
Thank U so much, God Bless
4.08 big capital letters "IT IS NOT ABOUT THE BREED!".
5.05 "Do your research what the breed is all about" …
This was actually really helpfull. I'm finaly ready for a dog. But i'm so confused at, which dog i should get. And there are so many list's about easy dog and stuff, but everyone says something different. experience reviews are sooo~ different xx. And this explained perfectly why this so is. Thank you.
Hello do u stilll offer where u will choose the dog if a person would like to own one, I have a dog named Aurora borealis
This is easy. Go to the pound and adopt a homeless canine. You don’t need a video to figure this one out. Do not buy an AKC dog, or a dog from a puppy mill.
Hello Cesar, thank you for all of your very helpful videos. This may be a really stupid question, but I was wondering how you would tell a puppy born with only one sibling (or it being the only puppy) if he is front/middle/back of the pack when he's very young. In this case, would that mean that there is no back or no middle of the pack?
I want a German shiver
Obviously she runt I think she x shar pei as she got wrinkle around her face up close x staffy. So can u give me ur opinion 👍
Can u tel me what u think my dog is cross with if she is. Cus u the best
cESAR knows he has to be top dog with every dog he reacts to. If he is not number one in that dog's mind He is not number one in that dog's mind… The dog and he should never deal with each other again. Reason Caesar gets bit on television occasionally is that he can't be the hard hearted person it takes to be the dogs leader– can't be a meany on television and thus the dog gets confused and bites him.
I feel sorry for the lonely women that get a pit bull thinking they will be defended— instead Pitbull just take you over and not safe with small children.
u unless they are trained by a professional, dogs are not meant to be guardians or caretakers of you… They are meant to take orders from you and if you don't give some, you'll confuse the heck out of them.
And selecting your future dog pet, read the history of the breed because for hundreds or even thousands of years, dogs have been bred selectively to produce a certain kind of behavior. For example if you select a sausage dog or a Cocker spaniel, expect as a mature dog that one will dig under your fences and explore everywhere.
Terriers have been bred to chase small animals for hunters and to have boundless energy to keep on going… Hey man like to bring a small animal home to you.
Some larger dogs have been bred to chase big animals like adult deer, And maybe hostile to all your friends because they are bred to cleave to the one leading dog, YOU. If you live in a small space or have a delicate baby around choose a dog that loves to lay down and sleep— active bouncing dogs will drive you and your partners crazy.
Like ladies living at home alone with a baby, don't you dare get a pit bull which have been trained for centuries to fight anything especially something down on the floor crawling,,, unless you dominate those fighting dogs completely, they will fight you and win.
Today— big old lazy mut that likes to lie down a lot.
I wish someone else would know better for me. I have 2 male dogs and until recently I had 3 dogs. Thinking of the kind of person I am or if the 3 breeds I like the most border collie Lagotto romagnolo and Australian Shepard I decided to go for another Lagotto from the same breeder the same father 3/4 the same blood line. The most I am afraid he is going not match harmonised with the 2. The oldest was new born very calm the middle the youngest in the litter and the one who unfortunately got poisoned was different and strangely very closed to heart. He expected only me and no one else he always was protective very high energy level nearly like border collie taking care of us like we were a sheep even he was Lagotto I don’t know what is right or wrong as I have loved and others never got along. And I know 2 dogs are enough but the Musketeers were also 3,the energy of three is different this cannot cover one border collie or whatever very agile breed. I want again 3 dogs, but see some worries I have what are my needs and wishes what matches my life style what matched two 2. I miss the youngest missing he was the one who kept us full of life and always in movement the 2 lie now around and sleep he was like he would never slept joining my movement on every step if only watching when not by me. Thank you.
I wonder how I ended up with 2 back of the pack sensitive dogs 😂 a cavapoo and a Doberman. They’ve always been nervous of everything and needed constant work on confidence building ❤
my doggy is middle of the pack for sure. i love him so much.
your logic is crazy dumb…. Your theories on dogs compares to a middle schooler… Your the reason why YouTube is saturated with bad videos… SO the first dog to mom is the "front" of the pack? hahahah what a joke… there's hundred's of reasons why a dog would be 1st or last…..620k people are so dumb they will follow anything anyone says…. I bet this guy thinks the world is flat too
I have a mid pack, shihtzu. She is the best girl. Happy and best friend, still like a funny puppy at 10. And I just love her ❤ I definitely chose well. She has my energy .
Please Cesar we need this in spanish, our community get cute dogs or massive dogs and don't know how to train them!!!
Sinceramente si lo tradujeran al Español, seríamos millones de seguidores más y no es tanto trabajo.❤🩹
Is “run of the litter” the same as “runt of the litter” or are they 2 completely different things?
We have been graced with the honor of a Toffee, she's a lab/retriever and she's amazing. The most chill dog ever even as a puppy. Important not to over feed them, she developed 2 lumps we needed to remove cause my Dad kept giving her food from his dinners. I finally got him to stop and she's a healthy and happy 14yr old. They are very special dogs. We were lucky cause when she's home cause she's very low energy at home but when she's out walking in the woods where we live, she goes for hours. A very calm happy quiet dog. Now that she's older we just do around 30mins most days. And for those wanting a dog to feel safe… they're a great choice, she's got a very powerful bark when people come to the door. They're the best all rounder dog I've ever come across. I cuddle with her every night, don't know what I'll do without her ❤
They shed alot but it's beyond worth it 😅
what would you consider the best choice as a servicedog? would you say front or middle in that case?<3

Very informative video. A must watch for people who plan to include a dog in their family. This will help them get a perfect match.
This was so helpful when we picked our puppy from the litter. Thank you Cesar!
Wow it’s just raising kids and giving them a Montessori type of environment.
Does this all apply to males AND females?
I am informing myself to how to pick the right puppy for me and this was really helpful as it’d be my first dog! Thanks for making this easy to understand, so that I don’t have to break my head over which furry friend to pick when I get to a litter!
Dear Mr Ceaser
Please note your talk is totally Bullish…….
Because
I have had Dogs
For the last fifty plus years
There is nothing like
Which part of the Pack
Each puppy decides
How it will be obeying
That Particular Person
Each and Every Pup of mine was always Totally Devoted To Me
Only
To Me
Once I am in the House
My Wife and Kids were always upset about this
So do not give your Big Talks about which end of the pack
You are just trying to make Money 💰
The problem is many GSD breeders for example.. take your deposit and gender choice.. then sell you the dog on who was first to place the order. I ve seen this on many many sites. You basically have no choice.. One breeder I went to after a few visits, told me he did me a favour to actually let me go see the pup a few times before pick up…
Is there scientific research that substantiates these claims?
Wait. What? People get to pick their dogs? I thought they just showed up on the roadside.
Sjoe to then no 3 are not my type of dog
