I really don't think that they liked your equipment being placed on the altar, permission or not, and was the reason for the battery drain. You might have forgot, but at the beginning the ghost talker said 'she will touch you.' I believe that the picture of the girl on the beach, and the one relating to sickness on the ghost seer, was probably her, although she wasn't identified, and I believe that she was probably connected to the building, or to a nearby location. Most spirits that make contact are usually there for only a short time, and communicating with just one spirit the whole time over a long duration is very rare. There's usually multiple spirits coming and going in a location, even from different eras or times, and when that happens, the communication starts to make little sense and becomes confusing. I think that you guys were talking and interacting with at least two spirits in the library, and several more in the main ritual room. Overall, it was a pretty active investigation, with some really good evidence.
